    Morning Ladies!

I have to report that ionafan's simnel cake was delicious. I really enjoyed the meet and my 2 youngest have asked to go back to the museum. (Faints in shock)

The house is ship shape. We have to rejig our finances because the hit water tank needs to be replaced. Living in a hard water area it's so scaled up we are only getting a trickle of hot water. We are also investigating water softeners so the new tank doesn't suffer the same fate. Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Tennis and football for the 2 youngest this morning then we are off to Colchester to watch Leyton Orient on their quest for a place in the play offs.
(I may peruse the local shopping centre while the die hard fans are at the match).

I have plans to go for a few drinks with a friend for her birthday tonight. The plan is to have a couple of drinks with her then to go for a meal with DH. We need to spend some time together without the kids!

    Morning ladies.

Nibbling at tadpoles on my Easter Frog list.

One Bank Account statement reconciled. Have investigated couriers for E bay; think that's the route I shall have to go down.

Once again it's bright and sunny here. DD's bedding will be on the line today, along with towels (and various other bits; microfibre cloths and oven gloves) and woolies.

As DD is off to her Dad's later and DS out of the way kitchen coat 2 might make it onto the wall. Again. another 'layer' of new-plaster paint. But it's the farmer's market this morning and friends will be there so I shall meet them first!

Oh! and my living room radiator is warm again! I 'gently' tapped the control in the hope of loosening the valve or dislodging what was stopping the flow. A temporary fix until the service.

Could you please ask DS3 he would mind if Stevenage lose tomorrow? :p:D

Are they playing Portsmouth :p He would not be happy but DS2 would be furious (fortunately he's up a mountain in Austria so won't be able to share that with me).

    Right need to move.

We live in a reasonably soft water area, but I remember DH saying he'd fit something for someone, like a magnetic contraption, on the inlet pipe under their kitchen sink. It basically attracts the minerals as the water enters the property, rather than having to treat each outlet (sink, bath, loo, DW, WM etc) and he said they'd had some very good feedback about them. But I can't remember what it was called, sorry :o

Well I've finished another tiny sewing project, I'll try upload a pic but my photobucket isn't cooperating today.

Then I need to call MIL as she had a bad day yesterday :( and I had a little cry for her and FIL last night.

Kiddies are having a "tea party" on the trampoline with the play tea set and food...

Hi Cyclingyorkie. I do hope your DD2 is better soon. I used to get this as a teenager and had a flare up a few years ago - and it's horrible. Sucking on an ice cube can sometimes help the swallowing, but I had to have a spray to 'freeze' the back of my throat - GP gave me pills I couldn't swallow!!

Good luck and good health vibes for her - and I hooe your mum is ok, too. What a shock. R x

Thanks - the nurse ummed and ahhed and gave her a/b's because it was 4pm on Friday! By the time we got there she could barely speak/open her mouth. They are not supposed to give a/bs if they aren't oozing..... but they were so swollen.... Anyway she has them (she's allergic to penicillin so they are different ones and they are enormous!)

Having read the blurb she has realised that she's on twice the normal dose - the dose designed for severe cases!

Mum seems to be OK, although how she is getting back is yet to be resolved. My sister has started the ball rolling about 'this is the time to give up long distance driving....'

Colder out than it looks but I've been to the town and sorted DS2's ISA. Just having a warming cuppa then I'll put WM1 on the line and do an hour's flying.
