Been to town so food stocked up, library books returned (and a couple of family history ones picked up), banking done.
Wash No1 dry already so wash 2 on the line.
Time for a cuppa and 15mins tidying the kitchen then I need to entertain DS3 for a bit, suffering from being on his own!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Afternoon all. Bit of a shaky start to day; still feeling a bit under the weather with a cold so wimped out of gym, but it's really not a bad one so I need to pull myself together. Gathered mobile library books together and stopped off at village pump - no library van. It always coincides with the 'green bin' collection day so I had to text OH as I knew collection day is moved on a bank holiday. Dopey cow, it was last week (mob library comes fortnightly).
Progressed to sorting out OH's horse with food and clean stable, made up his tea and breakfast. Filled a couple of bags with ........stuff to put on the garden.
Drove out to buy more horse food and get a couple of birthday cards.
Stopped at church on way back to check flowers still ok for this week.
Stopped to post birthday card and noticed Autoglass van driving through village, which reminded me that I got a stone chip in windscreen on Wed and had meant to ring them.
Got home, fished out car insurance details and found phone number dedicated to windscreen claims so now booked for Tuesday (they are busy - had hoped they could do it before we go to visit friends in Norfolk tomorrow - so hope Pigpen's hurricane doesn't turn into hailstones and descend on the A14).
Just had coffee so next plan to retrieve something from the freezer to defrost for tonight, feed birds then lunch!
Afternoon plan is office and money blitz. I'm going to see my "financial advisor" i.e. my brother, in a couple of weeks as he's experienced at advising people setting up own business so I need to give some semblance of having thought things through.........Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

helped mil sort some money and paperwork stuff out, recycled her glass and sorted the compost bin out for her.
at home, decluttered some snacks for DS2 and the friends on the park, decluttered some junk from a drawer, dealt with post and decluttered junkmail, now have all the important paperwork back from DH and DS! driving licences so need to put them all safely in the folder with the paper licence parts. after writing all the numbers down from documents that ive been meaning to do for ages.
found a stack of those weights that helium balloons come attached to - going to declutter them back to the shop they came from so they can be recycled to other customers.SPC~12 ot 124
In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
Well I have got DD2 an emergency GP appt at 4pm - her tonsils have been swollen for days and she's been in bed for 48hrs plus..and she can't swallow...
And my mum phoned from Scotland where she's visiting friends..... she has confessed to a small accident in the car (which may or not be a writeoff!)
I am tempted to abandon today and go to bed...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
I'm the best mum in the world today as I have agreed to 2 friends for a sleepover - well it just puts the number in the house back to 'normal'.
I'm working on finances which is taking me longer than expected (no chuckling yesterday's flylady meeters!) so flying has only been laundry so far.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hi Valli, really glad to see you're still here - keep channelling
:)
Not sure how many times I can get on here, especially when I get back to work, but I will be using the lists every day.
Today I have mainly pulled my cooker out and cleaned under it, around it, walls, sides of cupboards, etc as it was DISGUSTING!!! It doesn't fit in the gap between the cupboards and the dust/grease/dog hair builds up around it so much...LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -
Good afternoon everyone, well I did manage the early start that I wanted but yet again I seem to have lost most of the day somewhere.
Today I have managed to:
Check Mr A delivery, scan and put shopping away
Sort though 500 emails and dealt with anything needing sorted
Done some work on new business, as today is the official first day
Completed surveys and daily clicks
My plans for the rest of the evening is to:
Make the dinner
Tidy the kitchen
Sort out the laundry and put another load on, empty the drier
Sort out some more business paperwork
Sort the plastic containers that I need for planting vegetable and herb seeds
Spend an hour sorting out recipes for the folder that I am putting together
Make lunches for tomorrow0 -
Hi All
Posting from paid stuff but it is Friday at last!!! I am envious of all you flyladies having PJ days. I left the list with DH last night, he is off with the kids this week & next so I shall see what they can achieve between them, funnily enough DD’s room was tidied when I got in from work yesterday as her dad told her she wasn’t going out until it was done. Only a few things taken off list as I need to see what kids have done when I get home...... :rotfl:...... if anything! Level 1 in kids room should be a level 3 for me!!!
Hugs spoons, healing vibes etc where required, grab one on the way past. I finish in 26 minutes so going to get mail done.
Enjoy your weekend ladies, catch up soon x
Killer Kitchen - Monday April Fools Day
Level Two
Mop the floor
Extras- HHI ..
- Clean windows and sills
- Load the dishwasher (DW) if you have one
- If you are a bigger little person could you wipe over the fronts of the kitchen cupboards and fridge/freezer/washing machine.. sometimes you need to check the insides too as they get a bit sticky..
Level Three
Vacuum under the furniture you can move
Vacuum hall and stairs
Extras- HHI.. get that mountain gone - or if it is too big then maybe make a huge dent in it!!!
- Sort out all the shoes.. make sure there are 2 of them all and put them nicely on the shelf or in the box. Encourage the person who has the most to get rid of a few pairs they never wear!
- Oh.. I think you'll like this.. everyone gets a carrier bag.. and spends 5 mintues running all over the house putting rubbish in it.. not other peoples things just rubbish, scrappy papers, junk mail, used envelopes and things like that.. after 5 minutes we weigh all the bags and see who has the heaviest bag. The winner gets a treat (and so does everyone else!)
- Pick up all your own things from the front room and put them away in their homes
- If you are a bigger little person could you vacuum the floors once they are clear of stuff?
Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
15 minutes floordrobe clearance
Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort 10 things from your wardrobe (or someone elses) that you can get rid of..
Clean windows in these rooms
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more- Clear a box of clutter from the landing
- Clean a radiator or two.
- If you are a bigger little person could you spend 15 minutes tidying or vacuuming on the landing.. whatever needs doing.. I am sure there is a job that you can do that would be greatly appreciated!
Level One
Clear the clutter from all these rooms!!
Level Two
Clean, toilets, shower and sinks
Wipe down the tiles and defragment the pc while doing this.
Level Three
Extras- HHI.
- Read a magazine or a book with a nice hot cup of tea/coffee!!!
Childrens list.- Clear and wipe the pc desk
- Can you put any bathmats /shower curtains/towels in the WM which need cleaning?
- If you are a bigger little person could you clean out any pets that need doing?
Now it is Mummies time to help YOU!!! Today we are going to tidy your room.. if there are more than 1 room that needs doing..We will choose the one with the youngest children in first... their rooms are usually tidied quicker and more easily.. and we will help the older ones a bit later.. after a cuppa.. or it might have to be another day but we will come help if you want!
Level One
Clear the floor
Level Three
If they are able the children can vacuum their own rooms!! I would say 7 is grown up enough!!
While the children are home.. go through their wardrobe and get rid of everything that no longer fits.. as they are being so wonderful and helping they can try the things on so you can be sure before moving them down a child or moving them on.
Extras- Wipe sticky marks from walls and doors
- Clean any tv's, pc's playstations in the room
- Put the discs in the correct boxes and books on shelves
- Clean windows

We did our seeds :T they are out in the coldframe.

Bit of a toy tidy, and we are now cuddled up with a film, cup of milk (tea for me).
