  • Back now from my trip to Mr M and then subsequent visit to Mr T, shopping all put away.

DD3 stayed behind to make sure she finished her room off inbetween puter time.

DS, DD4 and I went out just before 7pm whoopsie hunting at Mr M - not much to be had, apart from some sandwiches and a packet of mint.....must have been a bit too late as other people in Mr M's had a lot more bargains.

Drove onto Mr T's, where very cooperative DS and DD4 waited for 3 hours as we stalked the various whoopsie sticker gun assistants (cos of the snow here there was lots to be had once the final reductions EVENTUALLY happened)

Very chuffed got stuff from every department reduced - bread/bakery 75% off, fresh meat counter 70% off, fresh fish counter 90% off , fresh fruit & veg 70 - 90% off, ready meal & pre-packed salad-y type things 75% off

Had to buy a few staple items full price, but after couponing aswell had a full trolley for £46 :money::money::money:

I don't want to repeat the stalking again in a hurry, but got lucky the shop was so quiet, but lots of recipes to look up to make meals out of stuff I wouldn't usually buy - at least I will be getting a more varied diet this month :D

Right time to find some more ancestors, catch up on thread, cuppa and list - then bed :)
The cold never bothered me anyway
  • Where has this week gone, I seem to have got nothing done. Bearing in mind that I have lost most of this week somewhere I need to use tonight to do some important jobs and take stock on what I need to get done for the rest of this week.

    My plans for tonight:
    1. Finish making the dinner
    2. Tidy the kitchen as there is currently stuff lying everywhere
    3. Do more of the laundry
    4. Spend 30 minutes sorting through recipes
    5. Write the weekly shopping list
    6. Do the online shop
    7. Look at tasks that should have been done but haven't and make a list for the rest of this week, which will include the weekend
    8. Do some course work
DH will get the kids bathed and ready for bed and wash up the dinner dishes.

After a very busy evening I have eventually caught up with myself and organised a list for the next 3 days, however it is looking like a very busy weekend. Oh well time for a cold drink (coughing and the asthma medicine is making me very thirsty, I will be glad when it is under control)and then bed, as I am planning an early start tomorrow but will need to see what happens.

Can someone please conjure a blizzard or hurricane or tornado or tsunami in the middle of the M62 please? .. I don't want anyone hurt I just don't want to drive along it tomorrow.. well.. be driven along it.

Prepare for a weekend of endless whinging if you are not successful in your witchcraftery.

My kitchen is almost looking habitable.. The floor is clear and swept, the pots are all washed and away the cupboard is upright standing on a couple of bits of wood so it doesn't try flying again. I even found an empty wash basket under a cat! There is a sofa in the front room!!

Bedtime before I die or exhaustion and then nail apt in the morning.. I am glued together!

    Morning!

Hard frost today, so we've decided on a pj day. DD has finally said her ear hurts she recently had an ear infection and was a mardy git beforehand. So will keep an eye on that...

Just going to make brekki then we might do our seeds later. Got a wash on and another 1 or 2 to do, so that and keeping kids entertained is my job for today.

Bolognese been in slow cooker overnight so dinner taken care of.

DS slept well in his room, he said spiderman was looking after him, so not scared at all :A I told him daddy was a secret spiderman fan and would have loved his bedroom. And maybe we should pretend he is looking after us, like spiderman. He seemed to like that idea :A

Morning all, glad that the flyladies had a great day yesterday. I had a wonderful time with DS, lovely meal and a trek round museums and galleries. However, I don't think I drank enough and by the time I got home had an awful headache so the evening was a write off - sorry DH.

At the moment I am sitting here with hair dye on but will do some flying in downstairs loo while I'm waiting for the grey to disappear.

    Other plans for today:

    Two dog walks
    HHI
Online jobbies like getting new energy supplier, booking appts and things

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Morning all

I had a lovely day yesterday meeting dusty, mumto5, froddington & ionafan and three lovely children. Definitely something to do again and hopefully a few more can join us next time. Thank you to everyone. Ionafan's simnel cake was superb  I scoffed it on the train home and I'm sure at one point I said mmmmmmmmmmm out loud... it was a packed train but no-one sat next to me :rotfl:

No flying yesterday as I was out gallivanting and I have a couple of appointments which will take up lunchtime and most of the afternoon today so I'll have to get cracking later.

LW I hope you got on OK at the GP and that you can deal with the new franchisee fella :A

piggers 'unable to travel to manchester' vibes aplenty to you

Bossy lovely thought that daddy/spiderman is looking after you all xx

Love, hugs, sticks, spoons, kicks up the backside and virtual coffee/something stronger as required.
    xx
