skinty, thank you for the links to that site, you have given me some really interesting research and a few more leads to follow as well as closing a couple of dead ends, after me thinking people were where they werent.
    all very useful.

    Living room done. Dailies done.
    Bookcase sorted out a bit.

    Cats blankets washed.

Wish it would warm up a bit more so I can get out in the garden. Hoping to persuade DGS2 to do a bit of gardening for me. I want the gate painted too.

The wind has been very chilly today so dashed to the shops and back.

Hugs, spoons and sticks where needed.
  • Where has this week gone, I seem to have got nothing done. Bearing in mind that I have lost most of this week somewhere I need to use tonight to do some important jobs and take stock on what I need to get done for the rest of this week.

Today I have renewed library books, put the dinner in the slow cooker, done some of the laundry, caught up with the £10 a day challenge thread, done some survey work, filled in spreadsheet (£92.31 between various accounts) and redeemed a £10 voucher (will use to get paint for the house as needing decorated from top to bottom).

    My plans for tonight:
    1. Finish making the dinner
    2. Tidy the kitchen as there is currently stuff lying everywhere
    3. Do more of the laundry
    4. Spend 30 minutes sorting through recipes
    5. Write the weekly shopping list
    6. Do the online shop
    7. Look at tasks that should have been done but haven't and make a list for the rest of this week, which will include the weekend
    8. Do some course work
DH will get the kids bathed and ready for bed and wash up the dinner dishes.

Oh and one of the "friends" (note must be eldest as none of rest can write properly) has written in felt pen all over the magnetic whiteboard  but thankfully managed to get it off with hand sanitiser gel...

If you get non-erasable pen on a whiteboard write over the non-erasable writing with a dry wipe marker. Then a wipe with a cloth will lift it.;)

First mammogram tomorrow :eek::eek::eek::eek: and I'm only 49 :o Any tips from the More Mature ladies :)

Wear a cardi. You can then use this as a cover up when you've removed everything you need to;)

Mrs MP I'm so glad that he was allowed home. It must have been such a comfort to him and his family, especially considering the number of young men who never came back. I'm not surprised you were moved to tears - I was, and none of them are my family.
    Better is good enough.

After THREE visits to M&S we finally have a pack of their Belgian Chocolate Hot Cross Buns.

DD adores them. She thinks I will buy their entire stock and fill the freezer :rotfl:

Back home in one piece after a very enjoyable Flylady Meet - we hardly stopped talking for four hours!!! Thank you froddington for organising and dustykitten, mumof5 and bonnie for ditching the dusters and coming out to play. Mention must also be made of Dusty's DS3 and mumof5's two youngest, who kept us all on our toes and are a great credit to their parents.

My DH has been busy in the house today: not flying in the conventional sense, but putting a line of sealant all round some of the downstairs window frames. Our buyers' surveyor is coming next Wednesday, so we're not leaving anything to chance.
The coffee cakes are still intact but I noticed that DH had finished off the chocolates from under his Easter egg, and two hot cross buns have disappeared!

Mrs-mp, that is a wonderful find.

    Love the superhero cape, bossymoo.

    Quickly nipping back in

DD1 bed stripped and in the wash, room decluttered and hoover
main bathroom decluttered incl bins, sink, loo, shower and bath cleaned
ensuite decluttered incl bin sink, loo and shower
    landing decluttered and hoovered
my room floor decluttered and hoovered
DD2 bedroom door opened and closed again very quickly in horror :D
DD3 room inspected on 3 occassions (no cash on offer for her to do as she is supposed to anyway - and it shows ) nearly respectable now, bunk bedding stripped and in the wash,
    floordrobe sorted and floor hoovered

Some radish salsa made with whoopsied veggies left from fridge clearout (was rather tasty :) )

Decluttered quite a lot of herbal tea
used the last disposable nappy - now forced me into the washable nappy territory (but now washing is up to date again, i should be able to keep up with the nappies aswell and save £££ - Martin would be proud :money:)
Nappy soaking bucket and Bi0tex tucked into ensuite ready (and the first wet one is in there already :p DD4 doesn't believe in time wasting :rotfl:)

Hunting dead people with Mrs MP while in Daisy mode with DD4 - multitasking at its best :D

Just getting ready to go off to Mr M in a minute to go whoopsie hunting, as not much vegetation left in the Skint Ritz or bread either.

    Back soon
The cold never bothered me anyway

    Afternoon all

I too had a lovely time with the flyladies and have ideas as to how to tidy my tree up. Emptied DW and now cooking dinner. Just 1xWM to do later, I'll be up early tomorrow to take DH and DS2 to the station so I'll catch up on the flying then.

Ionafan's simel cake tasted as delicious as it looked.
