Friends gone home now, kiddies all had fun and the mess wasn't too traumatic. I've brought the washing in (dry) and put another load on. I've emptied the car boot of muddies from Sunday :o and hosed down wellies, bike and pram wheels. They are all sat in the back in the sunshine drying off.

DW loaded and kitchen s&s after lunch. There are craft bits dotted around but nothing too bad, and upstairs is fine so I'm just having a cuppa and browsing some ideas for activity this aft. I may attempt to make DS a superhero cape... :D

    Hi All

I am in this week, albeit a little late, wish I had come on at the start of the week, to see the kiddies list!!! Mine are off for two weeks, I assume you are all the same??

I have been keeping on top of the house, just not finding the time to fly although I have not got my laptop charger so I can have lappy set up in LR again, no curtains done last week, MIL has taken them to finish my stripe for me.

PIGGERS!!!!! OMG!!!! I thought you would have stopped at 10….CONGRATULATIONS!!!!, I don’t recall seeing anything on FB either WOW, still in shock …….

Anyhow listy, crossed off whats not needing done or has been done, I have kept some things on childrens list, I will probably get more help from DS than DD, most washing is up to date as I have been making the use of this dry weather, just mount ironmore to tackle again

Question: buttonholes in fleece, how do we stop them from stretching? Should I do a little tiny blanket stitch? I can just see it getting ragged about a bit:

Oh and one of the "friends" (note must be eldest as none of rest can write properly) has written in felt pen all over the magnetic whiteboard  but thankfully managed to get it off with hand sanitiser gel...

How about folding over the edge of the fleece, and sandwiching a strip of heavier fabric/interfacing between. I agree, fleece tends to stretch and then the buttons will fall out.

    Great cape, btw.

List nearly done :j I've done loads of paperwork on behalf of my mother today, and made bank appointments for her for tomorrow and Tuesday.

First mammogram tomorrow :eek::eek::eek::eek: and I'm only 49 :o Any tips from the More Mature ladies :)

    Hello everyone

V late start for me today, only been up an hour and I dont intend doing much either - too tired. Have walked doggies and showered and I m now going to pop along to local sales room for a pre auction snoop. At work tomorrow, but then off for 4 days so hope to get down to some serious fluttering, flapping, flying and general blundering about. :D

Enjoy the rest of your day x

It's a sort of conveyor belt locally - you get appointments at 4 minute intervals, so there's not a lot of time for any chat. The first one I had was painless, the second slightly uncomfortable and the third - I wished I'd taken a Paracetemol an hour before because it was not nice. Apparently that isn't unusual - as we get older they get more uncomfortable. Wear easy access clothing and take a top that's easy to slip back on when moving between the various rooms - and in this weather, it'll need to feel really snuggley.

I'm just glad they screen everyone who wants to go.
    Better is good enough.

i would go with little blanket stitches or a bit of iron on interfacing on the back.

    slightly OT

Been a busy day here catching up with the flying. List is still massive but not as bad. Plan tonight is DD away to her club and bed early for everyone.

DS1&2 away tomorrow evening and then staying over night at friends so I plan to gut their bedroom again. All boys need their hair cut tomorrow morning and hopefully DS1's glasses will be ready to collect, throw in that the SW is coming for a visit as well. Hopefully only a few more visits and she's gone. Not sure why she's still here to be honest. :(
