Dys0n Tango has been danced, and the duster-onna-stick has been waved in the general direction of all the flat surfaces.

Mary's staying with the franchisee for two nights, as I have to visit the Doctor tomorrow; I couldn't get the first appointment, and they're notorious for running late after the first half hour or so; I'll also have to go and get my meds - have to go myself, as I have to sign for the morphine.

Met the chap who's taking over the franchise - he seems pleasant enough, and is the "dad" of one of the dogs I've looked after, so hopefully it'll all work out ok. I do sense a case of "fallout" coming on, from having had to deal with a Bloke, though.:(

PenPen very best of luck with the mammogram - I have to confess, I chickened out - 1) our unit is in a portacabin, up a flight of steps (ie no good if you use a wheelchair) and 2) I need Mr LW's assistance with dressing and undressing, and I don't somehow think they'd allow that.

*whimpers* I feel a decided need for a very stiff drink.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Aww, virtual double g&t for you LW.

Well. Kiddies had a cheat tea (tinned spagbol on toast) :o while I gave the conservatory a really good "do" including Hoover attachment as high as I could reach, so the fan and roofing corners dewebbed. We have bought some cute bumble bee solar string lights to hang in there (or bum bum bee, as DD called them :D). Was lovely in there in the afternoon sun... Hopefully in a few weeks, we'll move the playroom back out there.

Then I did some sewing (but forgot about my button hole!) and had some cereal for tea. And mini eggs :o

DS asked to move his bed tonight, so he has his Thomas bed in his spiderman room. We laid on his bed, admiring the deco, and he said "you did good there, mum" :A I think he likes his new room.

DD was naughty (again, she has been horrid for a week now!) and threw his clock at him. I sent her to her room before I lost my rag. Then I called her into bathroom for teeth cleaning, and sent her back to her room again. By the time we'd moved DS things into his room she climbed in bed and was fast asleep without her nightynight cuddle :( so feel a bit mean now...

Evening all! I've managed to get the thread working on my phone so am posting this from my hotel room whilst watching the football and during a break in cross stitching!

Thank you to everyone who came to the meet today - ionafan, bonnie_bumpkins, Dustykitten, mumto5 and the 3 fab children. It was lovely to meet you all and we must do it again soon.

    Flying wise - errrr ....:rotfl:

How about folding over the edge of the fleece, and sandwiching a strip of heavier fabric/interfacing between. I agree, fleece tends to stretch and then the buttons will fall out.

    Great cape, btw.

List nearly done :j I've done loads of paperwork on behalf of my mother today, and made bank appointments for her for tomorrow and Tuesday.

First mammogram tomorrow :eek::eek::eek::eek: and I'm only 49 :o Any tips from the More Mature ladies :)

    First tip - don't panic!

I had my first one last year - just before my 50th. It wasn't particularly uncomfy - if you've had regular smears I really don't think it's any worse.

They took images from the top and the side and extra ones focussing on the nipple area. The worst bit for me was doing the nipple ones - she wanted my boob in a particular position - and it kept sliding out of position - it really was quite funny! I am quite large, though, and I have fed 3 babies - and it shows!

It will be over before you know it.... GOOD LUCK!
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

Back home in one piece after a very enjoyable Flylady Meet - we hardly stopped talking for four hours!!! Thank you froddington for organising and dustykitten, mumof5 and bonnie for ditching the dusters and coming out to play. Mention must also be made of Dusty's DS3 and mumof5's two youngest, who kept us all on our toes and are a great credit to their parents..

Glad you had a lovely time; I'm very envious as I love social stuff like that. If the going freelance works in the summer, I'll make sure I can come next time.

It snowed tiny swirly flakes most of the day today; we watched it from the staffroom window. I won't say I got a huge amount of work done!

Feeling a tad jaded with a bit of a cold - still if it doesn't get any worse than it is now, it's bearable and I should make a much-needed trip to gym tomorrow. Far too much chocolate lately, and it's so addictive......I always struggle to get back to normal sized meals after having visitors, as I love cooking and always overdo it.

House still looking ok after Easter, so did some decluttering of laptop which is chugging slower than ever. We're out in the sticks as far as internet connections are concerned at the best of times, but it's ridiculous at the moment.

Yeuch, give me a hundred mammograms rather than a smear any time.

DecoI have to put the pedal to the metal to make up for lost time for days with the Big Black Clouds or days when I fall under the steam roller......if I didn't the Skint Kids would be ringing Childline begging to be re-homed :rotfl:
The cold never bothered me anyway
