Third load of washing on, and about to batter some pastry into submission.
Apart from the dog and cat, I'm going to be on my own for two whole days. Bliss.Better is good enough.0 -

Do seagulls get into other binbags on your street decko?
Yes they do BB - the council don't provide wheelie bins for general waste, just recycling (very different to where I used to live, we seemed to have a wheelie bin for everything!). The blooming things got into my bags a few months ago (made a vow after that to always put the rubbish out in the dustbin) but I spotted them and was able to get out there to clean up the used cat litter that they'd kindly spread about.
This end of the street most people have brought dustbins so that does reduce the opportunity for the gulls. It's not nice stepping over people's rubbish to get to work. But never mind, in the main it gets cleaned up by the time I finish work and walk back home.
Next door have no vested interest in the street, occupants seem to regularly change, which is a shame as there were some nice people living there.

Kitchen has now had its second coat of white 'primer'paint and looks better; kitchen has been wiped down and the floor hand mopped by me on me hands and knees. On tiles. Bare knees. *ouch* and I have had a shower and narrowly avoided hitting some (insert expletive of choice) pulling out of a car park/field on way to pick DS up from the Peak District.
Need to put everything back in kitchen, bring in washing, fold dustsheets and fetch painbrushes and paint back in.
One more coat to do (the colour) and gloss the tiny windowsill and that'll be it! Am very pleased with myself.

Evening
Nice afternoon with family, cake noshed and copious amounts of caffeine ingested. Going car boot shopping in morning. DD can choose a pram if she sleeps in her own bed, and DS said his toy garage is a baby one and can he get one for his grown up cars please?
This was my little stitchy from earlier:
It's a little hand sewing pouch - I'm going to stitch a loop so I can hang it somewhere handy, rather than fighting through cupboards when I want something I've hidden away from the kiddies... Showed mum and she was hankering after one, so I'll stitch some more, and I think I may make MIL one maybe out of something from the box of DHs clothes that I kept. The folded over bit is stuffed with wadding as a mini pin cushion.Bossymoo

But surely, "sane Flylady" is an oxymoron??:D:D:D:D:D
Someone did divide us into the sane and not brackets once, I can't remember who it was but I was strangely on the sane side .
Flower :j:j:j:j:j How is the interior design going? Oddly enough I also thought of you this week as I looked at the peeling bathroom ceiling and tried to remember what you suggested to cover elderly avocado gloss!

It was the boys' room today. Moved all DVDs off book shelves and replaced with DS2's books. Cleaned between the bunks and walls. Shockingly dusty embarrassing.
Sent DH to tip, charity shop, and to buy new ironing board (old one was broken by someone's temper)
Lego cleaned and boxed up. I thought DS2 would want to rebuild some of it, mistakenly. Big red shelves reorganised. I have my eye on lots of games for charity shop if they aren't played with by the next school hols.
Whole house henried. Another charity bag filled.
Grocery shop arrived and put away.0 -
