Been to town and was even slow moving around there. Did most of what I wanted to and asked in the Oxfam book shop and they take magazines so I'll take them loads I got on freecycle next time I go to town.

[STRIKE]Morning[/STRIKE] let me try that again. Afternoon  :rotfl:
Was MIA yesterday as Big Black Cloud appointment left me run over by a steam roller and in tears throughout, and being told I am not making enough progress quickly enoughwas just about the last straw.....so flying was all down to DD3 yesterday who earned herself some cash in addition to burning a significant amount of electric, her puter was online for over 15 hours yesterday while turning DW, WM and TD over and pushing hoover round LR again.
The kitchen however wasn't touched properly, loads of compostables, rubbish and recycling to be sorted, and fling boogie to correct rooms, so I have done that today.
Yesterday afternoon, I spent time flying my Money as I received a back payment I wasn't expecting. It wasn't a great deal of money in the grand scheme of things.
No sooner had I packed DD1 back to Uni I checked my emails to find out Tr@velodge have a room sale on again, so I got her to check when she finishes for the Summer.......25th May all students have to be out of their accommodation :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
So not long, at all, and not much day to day money flowing inbound before then, so decided DD2 and 4 (baby Holly) and coming with me to Wolverhampton, and I will divert by EX's with DD3 and DS to drop them off. I will then stop start stop start my way up the Motorway as often as Holly needs feeding, collapse on the Tr@velodge bed with Holly while DD1 and DD2 have a quick farewell drink with DD1's Uni cronies. DD1 and DD2 can then load up the car Saturday lunchtime, stopping in at Northampton for dinner with two of my cousins (very :money:) driving on a bit further to Bedford for another Tr@velodge then I should be able to manage the remaining chunk of the journey home (or to EX's if he is unwilling to deliver DD3 and DS back)
So chuffed that with one late checkout and two nights away for 4 of us under £60:D:D
Found out cost of DD2 final season ticket for college (because she is attending revision sessions and not taking advantage of study leave at home it is going to be worth me buying a ticket for the whole term as normalho hum, as long as she gets the grades she needs, I will have to swallow it)
Allocated monies to Peter and Paul who have been robbed blind for the last 3 years :money:
Then went to Mr M and Mr T whoops sticker hunting (when I have DD2 with me it becomes "whoops sticker gun assistant stalking" as DD2 with her blue hair, facial piercing and [STRIKE]tattoo [/STRIKE] sorry "body art" can look quite scary to other shoppers so no-one nicks my whoopsies out of my trolley as I empty the shelves to stock my freezer ) but I must have got there too late or not enough whoopsies in the first place as it wasn't very successful (success for me means 9p stickers in Mr M or 90% reduction at Mr T), but saved about £10 on RRP so it was still worth going.
Today the last of the turkey citrus soup has gone into portions in the freezer (4 pints worth :eek::eek:) and another 2 pints of dark brown roasted turkey stock into freezer aswell.
Been to Dr's aswell this morning (although I got myself in a tangle and went to the main surgery when I should have been at the satellite one) for a check up and to get a scrip for more BBC meds (Big Black Cloud). Fortunately, I had enough time to get to the right surgery for my appointment.
Had a lurk on here and a cuppa, now its time to go and get DS, so painting may or may not happen today, but I will be back to look at lists properly later and see what can go!
See you later :wave:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -

I have just washed my car and had a shoe-polishing session!
Just read that and it made me cry *sniff*. I'm dreading the time my lot go, although I am hoping that I have a bit longer yet with my boys as they are both 11yrs. The cats are 13yrs and possibly 14yrs (have a rough guide of Amycats age). I was a wreck when Patch the jack russell died, and also when my last two cats died.

*sniff* Thank you Valli.
Just given Dog a hug from all the FlyLadies. She doesn't like hugs, strokes or kisses, much, just the occasional one and a tickle on the cheeks from OH. That's it for today, then.Better is good enough.0 -
Hope you did OK with your HHC Natty.
My HHC turned into a row with DD1 (age 10) about the state of her bedroom, the chocolate wrappers and bits of chocolate under her bed, and everything on her floor got put in a bin bag and dumped on the front door step!! Told her if she wanted it back she had to go through it all and put it all away, (and she did). She then made lunch for me, her and DD2 to make up for it.
So now we're having a bit of a chill out and all of us are getting to work on the kitchen / hall / front door.
I did manage to iron all of DD1's things - she's on a school trip next week so I need to make sure all her stuff is ready to pack. We've also got out some of her clothes ready.
So anyone in for a HHC at 2.30pm?
I will get this house sorted today!!0 -
Sunnygirl, I'll join you. Just got something out from under my bed and oh the dust so that is where I'm heading for HH then a cuppa. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Another load pegged out, washing up done, DW also going, breadmaker on for OH's tomorrow's sandwiches, Dog fed and walked (again).
Now to get back to the filing. Why do I hate it so much?Better is good enough.0 -
Done well in my HHC:
Pots washed and dried
Kitchen tops tidied and wiped
Table cleared and wiped
Cupboard fronts wiped (by DD1)
Hall floor cleared (by DD1 & 2)
Hall floor swept (by DD2 - will probably need re-doing, but at least she helped)
Microwave wiped inside & out
Just halfway through doing the front door with DD1 - inside done, just starting on the outside.
Honey bear and Dusty - hope your HHC's are going well.
Best carry on with the front door....0
