  • SFD no 2 for me. Great as I know I will end up spending this weekend.

    I hope that you feel better soon Learning2budget. I agree with KrustyLouise, prescriptions are an essential so you shouldn't have to count them. Remember you are in this for the long haul so don't get too disenchanted - there are still 26 opportunities for a SFD :)

    Hi Everyone!

    Hugs to Sarah and L2B (and anyone else having a tough time!). Sometimes a bit of TLC (and pizza!) can help you get back on track emotionally. We all know on this road to financial freedom there will be times when things run well and times when we hit a pothole or a patch of ice and feel like we're skidding out of control... So long as we stay calm, and try and get back on track - we're still heading in the right overall direction!

    Today = SFD number 3

    Today was a good day - tomorrow I have car service and prescription - but both budgeted for elsewhere so all good.

    Having a chilled evening in watching Primeval :)

    Have an AMAZING time away in Italy!!! The must have phrase to use (but only when talking to guys) is 'Pompino'. Not sure that's how it's spelled but it's pronounced Pomp-eeen-ow. It'll take you far!!! I want feedback on your return!!!

  • Evening, not managed a SFD as needed to get milk, veg and couple bits but only spent £8.50 which will be coming off the food budget, only picked up a basket so wouldn't be tempted. Eh xx

    Evening everyone,

    Managed another SFD so that makes 3 so far:j I made cheese and onion pasties for lunch instead of going out and buying bread even though I have the budget for it. I also painted 2 tin cans so that I can plant seeds in them for my windowsill. Was thinking of some veg and herbs.

    Hopefully I should have a SFD tomorrow as well. May walk into town to pay in our penny jars to the CC but will see how my hips are. Think this pregnancy is gonna hurt more :rotfl:

    L2B, when you're not well its ok to wallow in pizza. Unfortunately in our house one day turns into several even when we're not poorly :rotfl:

    No sfd here either. Took dd ice skating which was budgeted for - with research managed to get a session for 3.50 rather than 13.00 by doing a chilly tots session. Fab choice as also had lots of penguin things to hold onto - perfect for her first time. Very proud she managed to do a little solo session by the end of 45 minutes. Then went to mr m to get bits for next few days as best mate is visiting with her dd. house full of kids and noise. We've got a little choc to get us through! Tomorrow last day of staycation and we're planning indoor play session then either walk on nt property or town in the pm. Bf needs to get a prezzie for a newborn. May need to be strong if we go in.

    Not sure if the best thing is to ignore or zen oh spending out. Frustrating but no control over it. He's a grown man.
