Hi all,
tryin to unlock my n70. able to READ PHONE but never get to MAKE LOG.
i'm using CA-42. error : bad connection! (chk FBUS cable.....)

bb5_unlocker notepad i already set to Courier New
Font style : Regular
Size : 10
Script : western

anything i haven't done correctly? i tried switch on / off many many times, tried pressin make log during different stages while the phone power up. PLEASE HELP. need to unlock this thing badly.

Thanks to all who have added a little info along the way here, I used the advice and unlocked 2 6630's last night.

I did have quite a few 'error' messages before my first success, but kept trying just as described. I used this DKU-5 cable (full pins) off eBay and didn't replace the driver for the cable either, just the one that came on the disc with the product.

Seem expensive solution mate, I will wait for some genius to find solution for it. Does anyone know about the SIMLOCK COUNTER RESET? I have already tried code 3 times now if I get code from 3 it wont work unless code counter is reset. Help me guys plz. Thanks

Last night I managed to unlock my 6630 without any problem following the great advice on here.

I then tried to do my wife's 6630 and now it will not work when the sim is inserted. The phone asked for the pin code and once this is entered it says code accepted and then shuts down.


It fires up OK without the sim.

It is identical in everyway to my 6630 (both on Orange) except the firmware is older. I have tried to update the firmware but cannot because the phone needs to have the sim card inserted and it won't work.

I have tried the WR Backp process and although the BB5 software says DONE I still have the problem.

Will this mean a visit to my local Nokia Service Centre or this there a way I can sort this out before my wife sends me to the local hospital! :eek:

have you tried another orange sim in your wife's 6630?

I've tried my SIM card in her phone and it doesn't work.

I have tried her SIM card in my phone and that works fine.
