  • Topcashback, through Snap and Save, usually has a great Easter offer of £2 or £3 cashback on chocolate. Would you consider offering it this Easter to include instore - & online puchases for those isolating? I know snap and save has been suspended but this would be really nice

  • Hello TopCashBack!
My £40 cashback from AA Home Insurance was tracked and confirmed, but after one month (=cooling-off period?), it was mysteriously declined. I opened a case and CS replied, "Unfortunately, it seems as though they (retailer’s network agency) have taken the decision to decline your claim as we have not been identified as the last channel to your sale." This surely cannot be a valid reason because the cashback had previously gone through both stages of "pending" and "confirmed"?
    • Pending - The retailer has indicated that you’ve made a purchase with them.
    • Confirmed - The retailer has confirmed you’re eligible for cashback. We’re waiting for the money from them to pass onto you.
Grateful for any help, advice or comment. Thank you.

    Hi Everyone,

I hope you're all enjoying your Sunday

@oappennypincher If you could send an email to mse@topcashback.co.uk with these details then we will take a look as to why this was declined after being confirmed.

    All the best,

  • I purchased merlin passes as a Christmas present for our family via topcashback and was expecting a cashback of over £50.
They initially issued far less - £7.70.  When chased, they decided that the “terms and conditions were not met” but didn't say which. Finally they have decided that "the order cannot be traced" - strange given the initial allocation.
I have all the original documents and the passes themselves but they don't seem interested in them!
Are merlin trying to avoid paying out anyone else or is it just me?

    Hey Everyone,

Hope you are all having a great Friday today.

@JohnnyS55 If the transaction cannot be traced it would suggest that we were not fully seen as the last referrer which gave another source the referral too. this would meant that we are unable to be seen as fully eligible. We do advise for all purchases to make sure browser data and that any adblockers are disabled before clicking to our site and once clicking through our offer link please go straight to purchasing without browsing as this may help in future.

@Browntoa if you have any suggestions for us please drop us an email at mse@topcashback.co.uk and we can take a closer look

    Best wishes

Have you actually investigated this case or are your comments merely general?
I fail to see how the the position can change from allocation to failure to meet terms to cannot be traced.
I hope that you can understand my frustration at what seems to be an effort to find any excuse not to meet their/your obligations.
I'm beginning to think that topcashback simply isn't worth the time and effort!

    Hey Everyone
Hope you all are having a good weekend

@JohnnyS55 I can assure you I am looking into this via the emails you have sent to the inbox as suggested. I do fully understand your frustration and we are on your side but we can only pass on funds if we are seen as eligible and receive them from the network which is why we are unable to guarantee cashback. We do work hard at disputing decisions and are successful at doing but sometimes if a network is standing firm with their decision we cannot overturn this. Please feel free to reply to the email and I will try and get more information to you.

    Best wishes

    Topcashback compare insurance cashback
A word of warning, don't make the same mistake as me. I'll always thought that getting a quote through Topcashback Compare saves all the effort of inputting your details into all of the providers on Topcashback, getting a quote and then calculating the best deal after cashback.....extremely time consuming.
My home insurance was due at the end of the month, so I input my details into Topcashback compare and it produced a list of providers. The cheapest after cashback (£27.50) was British Gas,  so I followed the link and took out & paid for the policy.
Sometime later, I was browsing the Topcashback site and noticed that British Gas were offering £50 cashback. I had expected and assumed that the Topcashback compare insurance tool would have taken into account any cashback amounts shown on the Topcashback site.....this is not the case. As a result, I've missed out on £22.50 cashback ( £50 less £27.50)

I've not put this in the TCB thread as it's not a question to the TCB rep. I'm just wondering what other TCB members experiences have been.

End of June 2019 i applied for an AA savings account to bag their £15.15 cashback.
Start of July 2019 i applied for another AA savings account as they released a new issue.

NOTE1: I handled both applications/accounts the exact same, meeting the requirement in both.
NOTE2: I helped my wife, mother, brother, sister do the exact same thing .... they've all received two lots of £15.15 no problem.

Early on i got declined for the first application and so i appealed. I've been paid out the £15.15 for the second application long ago.

I asked TCB about this early August 2019 and filed a claim mid August. We're not far on being 12 months in. This is taking the piddle a bit.

Considering just saying sod it and closing the account down. Has anyone reading this actually got their money on a claim after 9-12 months?
