  • My Waitrose query from February is still not shown or replied to I think you said it was a 3-month wait that should be done by now.
  • Ticket raised 3rd Jan regarding the £5 being deducted from an account
8th Jan a response from TCB saying you're dealing with high volumes.

Today is 29th Jan. Any idea of a time frame this question is likely to be answered in?

    Thanks.

@chico - Being honest it varies on the retailer. Some retailers we’d expect this to happen so please double check the terms. If we’d expect this to correct when it’s marked as confirmed no further action is needed. However, if nothing is mentioned in the terms please submit a claim now.

TCB once again had declining cashback, last time it was £100 for a tv from Currys. This time £40 tesco home insurance taken out in Jan it tracked correctly but Tesco declined it. Now what do TCB define as renewal? is it from policy just about to expire or a policy you had with merchant 1- 2 maybe 3 years ago. On both cases I use one browser, microsoft edge I only use it for purchases with TCB and for nothing else as 99.9% I use firefox. Funny how small purchases never have any problems. I raised a ticket, thanks
  • How do we know that cashback is really not being given to TCB as it would be very easy for them to say they not got the cashback so can not pass it onto us and keep it.

TCB does not prove they not got any cashback and in my view they should be made to do that as I have felt for a long time that TCB are not as honest as they make out.

Quidco on the other hand I have never had any issues with getting my cashback.

I been in touch with Tesco probably another company that uses there name of course they said its nowt to do with them but a 3rd party which I know it is. They also said they have had complaints before. Luckily my insurance doesn't start until the 1st Feb so I can cancel with no charge and then I have 14 days after that. I been a customer of TCB for a long time but past 2 years is been hit and miss and its usually high orders not small that are the problem. My order tracked okay as well but declined 3 weeks later. You have to take there word nothing you can do about it no recourse other than raise a ticket in the hope it get reversed well if it doesn't that's last time I use TCB I have had enough.

  • @libertysurf – We pass on the commission we get from retailers. If we had been paid the money for these by now you would have been welcome to payout. I’m more than happy to take a look at your cashback if you email me at mse@topcashback.co.uk

    Best wishes,
    Matt

Thank you Matt. I emailed the details on 30 jan. Did you receive this email? A June transaction should be quicker to resolve than six months surely?

    Hey everyone,

@Lyncj01 – If we see any evidence that a retailer has no intention to pay cashback they are not welcome on our site. We have taken action before and we would take it again.

We do not benefit when cashback declined. It’s a lose lose situation for us. It causes disappointed and it means we’re referred to one less sale.

If commission is awarded to another ‘marketing channel’ that money goes to another company. Who that company is we’re often not told. We can’t delete their cookies or stop them from earning a commission. We can give our members advice and tips in order to help the tracking network see that we are eligible.

With car rentals, please do not expect this cashback until a number of weeks after the rental as they’re not going to pay out commission before that hire has taken place. If they did that, far too many people would not take up the hire but benefit from the cashback.

@johnwick99 – It can take 12-16 weeks as an average but as with any average it means some get sorted quicker while others may take longer. We have a team to ensure every claim is resolved in the quickest possible time frame because we are committed to ensuring you wait no longer than is required.

@JustAnotherSaver - Those replies are prioritised and I am aware that our team are currently replying to messages within 48 hours. If you do have any further issues though please do let me know.

@SaveMoney – The first thing to explain is we won’t define anything. We put the terms as we are told them by the retailer. It’s the retailer who defines a renewal but if you don’t think it’s right then please lodge a claim and we will dispute.

@rich_shot2003 - Why would we deliberately wind up members? It jeopardises our whole company and its reputation for a quick bit of money. It's just not worth it for a company who has spent 15 years building up a relationship with its members.

Free money is hard enough to explain to people without us trying to find ways to take money away from our members. While it’s great on another cashback site you haven’t had issues like this there, it certainly doesn’t mean that it doesn’t happen.

@libertysurf – I have responded back to your email now. Generally, it doesn’t take this long but your claim, unfortunately, is taking longer than usual. We are still working on this though to get you the best outcome.

    Best wishes,
    Matt

  • Absolutely crazy how long its taken to pay this out . Almost 6 months later and I've heard nothing. Its absolutely appalling.
  • Despite Matt responding, there was nothing in his answer to explain why I am still waiting for a June transaction to be paid. Someone is getting my £150. The original retailer or TCB? Something very fishy is going on. I wish Martin would investigate. This forum is impotent.
