  • Hello, I started using TopCashBack during August after my daughter received some payback and said to try it. Various insurance updates were due so I did try it. Since then I've used the TopCashback compare option to select and start 4 insurance policies i.e. home insurance on Sept 1st, my wife's car insurance on Oct 16th and 2 pet insurance policies (different companies) for our 2 dogs on Nov 4th. The only one showing any cashback update is my wife's car policy but that is still pending till whenever. I've lodged a claim against the first one (Sept 1st start date) with a nudge a while ago but that now just says awaiting information from seller. I haven't claimed or queried the pet policies' cashback yet.

    When I first used it, I obtained a couple of quick (very small) cashbacks for using ComparetheMarket, Confused.com etc. so I was quite happy. However, the ones that would make a difference i.e. save money and take the cost down below what was being offered anyway, are taking forever and information on what is happening is very hard, almost impossible to obtain. And it's up to me to chase it.. Not very good customer service at all.

    All in all not what I expected and very disappointing to say the least. I could never recommend this to anyone as it doesn't do what it says. So now for a couple of those policies, I've paid more than I would have on the renewal notices - but hopefully just at the moment. Will I ever get my cashback??? Am I missing something??

    @bxboards, I am sorry that this has not progressed further for you, we are seeing payments received as expected from this merchant although this may sometimes take a little longer than estimated, but I have sent you a support ticket regarding this if you could kindly get back to me on there?

    @JGJackson, please do not worry, if you have made your purchases via TopCashback Compare, then you will not see these track for you until around 60 days after the purchase date, this is due to being able to amend any details in which we can then check what the premium is and ensure that the correct amount of cashback is received. I would be more than happy to look into these individually for you though, if you could email me at mse@topcashback.co.uk with your username and the details of your transactions.

    Hi Samantha, I've submitted a missing cashback request for something through TopCashback Compare - but seen your previous note saying it takes upto 60 days to track... how do I know its tracked? Shall I leave the missing claim open?

    @hop3y, if this does not appear on your account within 60 days of purchase, this should track as TopCashback Compare and have the correct date of purchase, then we will be able to follow this up via our Claims system for you, if you have lodged a claim for this in the meantime though, this will likely be held on 'Ice' until the 60 days have passed. Once this tracks, could you be sure to close your claim?

    One of the missing ones has turned up albeit in Pending mode i.e. the Home Insurance one with Sept 1st start.

    As requested, I've emailed you purchase details of the "missing" 2 cashbacks for the Pet insurance both starting from November 4th. I guess they're still in the 60 day zone.

    Out of curiosity, how long does Pending generally take to become real?

    I have just seen your email response :) In regards to a transaction moving from pending to confirmed, this can vary depending on the transaction and how quickly the merchant goes on to confirm this, with your transactions specifically, I would hope to see this start to progress for you soon but I am afraid that I cannot provide specific time frames here.

    I am trying to get go through topcashback to get a Plusnet deal but I get this message:

    But when I "click here" there is nowhere I can enter BACS details, so I am stuck. It just takes me to
