:T Great going, lobbyludd, and others.
I've been madly busy gardening and have decluttered more nails, plastic and misc no-organic carp from my soil. Seems like no one who's had that plot in the past 60 years has subtracted anything, just added to the trash, and I pull it out on sight, so every bit is a bit I never saw before.
Am childishly-pleased to have finished a bottle of shampoo (down to a single one in use) plus a bottle of washing-up liquid, which means there is only one spare *wibble* under the sink. Steady, lass, steady, that's months' worth of dishwashing potentiality there, no need to get anxious.
Other than that, it's just maintenance, really, keeping on top of the daily drag-in and drag-out. I get good use out of the communal recycling bins but am accruing a bagful of tetra-paks which go to a specific non-domestic place to be recycled, so will probably look at making that errand later in the week.
Oh, and also finished a book last night, which is the 2nd installment into the next lot of donations and have had a letter from Hoxfam to say that from mid-Nov to end March 2014 they made nearly £80 off selling my stuff! Gobsmacked, it was all pretty modest stuff, but that's including the Gift Aid. A happy thought to start the day with, no?
Onwards and outwards, my lovelies.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Beautiful day here. Washing is on the line and the last load in the machine. Oh blow, just realised that I forgot the towels. They'll have to be done separately.
Recycling is sorted for DH to load into the car and take.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Discovered moths flying out from my dish towels in the kitchen drawer....I've been trying to tell the girls to take the bottom ones first when taking out a fresh one but that seems to be a hard one to remember, I should be grateful they are doing the dishes
Will now chuck the whole pile in the machine on 90 degrees, hope that kills the eggs.
Yesterday I did sheets and covers of my bed to be sure the operation bedroom stays on top of nasty things. No evidence of mould, yippieh!First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0 -
GQ - I'm in the garden too. Just decluttered all the dead leaves from the patio and all the 'bits' that the blackbirds pull out of my compost bins. Pruned the roses so hopefully I'll get another show. I've also just cut up my climbing beans & steamed & put in the freezer. Just off to stew some plums. Its not decluttering its just moving it all from the garden to the freezer haha.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

You can rotate 'stock' by putting the fresh stuff at the bottom and then pick off the ones from the top - that way, when you have to take stuff out of the drawer to put the new stuff away, you can see the state of the stuff and whether any of it needs attention. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
I'm feeling really proud, after having a free weekend for the first time in forever, I spent literally hours, decluttering, cleaning and organising. The room of doom is now transformed
My office is clean and I have done about three hours of shredding while listening to an audio book over the shredder din. So all my work paperwork fits easily into one lockable cabinet.
Long work day today following leave but have done some hoovering and some ironing. I am currently ironing at least two outfits per day and putting them in sets so the wardrobe is looking neater and neater. It is weird though after weeks of procrastinating I have found the more I do the more I want to do! I am now feeling twitchy wanting to attack the next thing, which I think will be more listing on ebay. Nine auctions sold for a grand total of £63 (all but one now posted) and have three left on but most had more than one thing in them i.e. 8 DVDs, 6 books etc The seven bag pile has also gone to the charity shop and I have another bag now in the car boot ready to go.
Keep going everybody it is so worth it!0 -

I do this kind of rotation, too, to ensure that all the textiles get used. Even if you don't have mothy issues, clean textiles can get a bit frowsty if stored unused for too long.
Well done dragonlily for tackling the room of doom, isn't it a great feeling to see where you've been and have stuff organised? Positively addictive.
I have tomorrow as a day off and have to declutter some appointments in the morning and will aim to get the flat tidied in the afternoon. Depending on the weather, I may have pals over to the flat tomorrow evening, or we may be at the allotment, so the flat has to be presentable in any case. Good excuse for a tidy-round. It's not bad but I do need to have a round-up of bits of papery clutter and a mass shredathon, too.
Plus some mending needs to be done and then those items can be put away.
Keep up the good work, my beauties.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Cleaning wipes, liquitabs, dishwasher tablets - big brand stuff (DH fusses about value ranges so I buy the ones he likes when they are on offer).
Had this conversation with OH's Mum yesterday. Nothing wrong with bulk buying items you actually use up! Conditioner, washing tabs, baby wipes etc.Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

Good luck getting the appointments out the way. That reminds me I need to go and get my bloods done, might try and squeeze it in tomorrow x0 -
Two black bin bags of clothes and a supermarket carrier of toys by the front door ready for DH to drop at the chazza first thing - feels good.
Recycling bin packed to the rafters ready for collection on Thursday and 4 loads of washing line dried today
