hi saving queen, you have inspired me to also recycle my huge stash of greetings cards :T
i had some cards in there from when i passed my driving test.. around 25 years ago
it was lovely to look through them and it is hard to let them go, but nice to reclaim a little more space in my home.

Take digital photos of them?? Still be able to see them/read the messages without them taking up space x

In other news, wardrobes all sorted, his ex's random bits of clothing washed and returned to her (she was really happy lol). More clothes sorted for LO, and smaller stuff sorted for two other LO's to have. One bag of OH's stuff for CS and washing all up to date aside from some jumpers which can wait in the chest at the end of the bed.

We binned about eight bags of carp from his and I've unloaded three from mine, one to CS and two in the bin...

    Getting there :T

Saw DS1 & his partner yesterday pm - she's got a 'Girly Shed' at the bottom of the garden that is going to be her bolthole to do her quilting & chill with the girls. She wants a sort of middle eastern theme - cushions & throws. Methinks I have a few things that might just be right. Off to find where I've stashed them :)

Little bells on a string? I bet you have some stashed somewhere. A few elephant ornaments.

    Good Morning fellow clutterbugs

We are plodding along nicely here. It is DDs birthday tomorrow (she will be 2) so I have been reviewing her toys to see what we can give away to friends/chazza before the annual influx of new things.

Her baby brother is 4 months old so all "baby" toys have appeared again from the loft and she is more interested in them now than she was when she was a baby! I have got around 4 bags (2 black bin bags, 2 supermarket carrier bags) of the dreaded stuff out this week. My dear friend has just had twin girls so a lot of DD's baby clothes have gone to her, as have some unused cot sheets and some summer gro-bags that DS has grown out of already (he is a long string bean).

I have just culled the paperwork stash again - with 2 small businesses that are run from home it builds up so easily!

The main rooms that are clear are DDs room and our room. These are such calm spaces, DDs room inparticular. DS' room is still quite cluttered, mainly with hand me down clothes that he will grow into over the next few months that I don't really have the space to store but need to hang onto so that I save pennies in the long run!

    Have great days everyone xx

WW - sorry no bells on a string or elephant ornaments. Found some rather garish tapestry type cushion covers & a runner (never used!) but can't for the life of me find a pair of curtains I was sure I'd put in the loft. Did find an unused lifejacket in brand new condition though for DS1 - where did that come from????? At least thats 4 'outs' haha

Another trip to the tip this morning but feel like I'm running on empty and struggling to keep motivated. I have a pile of ironing I have been looking at for a few days which I could do. I have caught up with the washing but some g1t has decided to start a garden fire so I can't put it out as it will smell barbecued. If I can figure out which house it is I'm going for a work.

Must go and put the baby seat back in the car or I will be panicking in the morning.

parsniphead - can you bear to put anything away UNironed? I used to iron nearly everything and now I iron hardly anything. You will save yourself so much time - will you try it?

Today I have ventured underneath our bed to the furthest, darkest, dustiest reaches..... amidst the many dried snotty tissue balls, the grey furry dust balls, were boxes and random items. Some are in the recycling or bin.... some await their fate still. Can't believe that area under the bed has been untouched for so long. Its like a shipwreck, you just don't know what lies beneath.... treasure or just more tissue balls? you will need to wait for episode two.... da da derr....

I'm back again after a loooong time away:o

I'd fallen off the wagon BIG TIME and lost the will for a good while there.

But as of today I have started back on the get rid of crap from this house wagon!
Haven't done too bad. Have 2 bags full of CS items, and getting rid of reusable bags at the same time.
SInce the bags charges came into effect here last year our house seems to have went a bit overboard with buying reusable bags instead of paying 5p each time for a plastic bag. Our problem was we bought the longer bags............ we just forgot (and sometimes still do) to bring them with us whenever we went out:mad:

My aim is to get an old desk emptied by tomorrow so I can put it into the garden for the council to remove next week.

Oh I don't iron everything. A good shake before they go onto the line is usually enough. If I hadn't been lazy when getting it in and leaving it screwed up on the table for a few days I would have had to do less. My own fault. I will admit though that I don't actually mind ironing. It's good daydreaming time. The job I dislike most is vacuuming, the vile job from hell.

I retired my rotary line last summer and put up a straight line. I find it's much better as the wind gets into them getting rid of more creases.

Well done for going under the bed. It's one of those scary areas to venture.
