Update on my dog that was attacked on Easter Monday...
Holly's had her stitches out today and the wound is healing nicely. Unfortunately she's got a bit of infection in the lump at the side and a hole thats still letting fluid/pus out. Another 7 day course of antibiotics should hopefully sort it outXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -

All the best to both of you. That must have been a scary experience, for you and her. I hope you are able to find somewhere safe for her to run around and play once she gets better.0 -
The problem is a lack of anywhere other than a small window sill (sp?) to put anything on, until I find bathroom cabinets that I like and will fit the space that we have available. Then I have to wait for the OH to complete all the other jobs I can't do, before he gets round to putting the cabinets up. Oh, and instead of having one bathroom, I now have one bathroom, one en-suite and one downstairs cloakroom. There's only room to have a floor cabinet in the downsstair cloak
Then there's the lack of a pantry in the new house and the fact I have less kitchen cupboard space than I did in the last house. The non-perishable stuff from the pantry will eventually live in the garage, but we need racking in there before we can do that.
Did I mention the wardrobes? I had a walk in closet in the old house, so everything was in there. We need to buy fitted wardrobes for this house (OH's wish) so at the moment our clothes are either on hanging rails or in black bags in the room that will become our dressing room. At least I can shut the door on that at the moment, but it does make finding clothes difficult.
I was determined to only buy things that I liked for this house, rather than buying something that would do, but I think I'm about to have a change of heart about that.
I have a house full of furniture which I had to buy at the time, because I needed it, rather than waiting to find/afford what I really wanted. I'd really advise you to hold out for what you really want, even at the exepnse of a couple of months mess and inconvenience. Otherwise you could end up like me, with pieces too nice or in too good a condition to justify dumping and replacing them, but not quite what you wanted.0 -
Sorry about Bessie and pleased about Holly getting better.
Am drowning in work this week (not money-making work; admin work that has to be done but isn't quite getting completed).
Then I also thought I'd better do a couple of tasks today that need doing while I've got the folder out, and they are taking longer than expected. I'll still be working at midnight.
DH has chosen to spend the afternoon spring cleaning, which I wouldn't mind but we are out tomorrow and he has other stuff to do before that. I think we may have a snappy-at-each-other evening coming up.
If we manage, we will be able to get two massive piles of stuff out of the house by the weekend.
I have reorganised some stuff and am madly unsubscribing and deleting emails but that is about it on the decluttering front.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Hi All,
I've finished converting my cassettes to MP3s, using the tool my lovely Hubby bought me for Christmas. All cassettes have gone, although I have kept some of the cards from mixed tapes, especially one that my late Dad made. These take up far less room and will be laminated (using the laminator lovely Hubby bought me for Valentines Day :rotfl:) for my memory box (1 small box only).
Anyhooo, if any of you lovely peeps would like to borrow the converter I'll send out to the first person who pings me, then they can pass it forward to the next requester.
