:( Definately see your optician asap, anirtak. It may be nothing, it may be important, but you must be careful with your eyes.

If you can possibly see an optician today, I would make great efforts to do so.

need advice please, this evening while watching some tv, i noticed i had a small amount of blurred peripheral vision on the left, that gradually grew, to most of my peripheral vision over a few minutes. this is hard to explain, in one way it was blurred but in another way it wasnt, it was like something moving really fast that it looked blurred.
after another few moments my vision went back to normal, im thinking i should go get my eyes checked as its been a while, the test i get for free, due to being diabetic, but i have to pay if i need new glasses and i cant really afford them so apart from my retinopathy? witch has shown no changes due to diabetes, ive not had a normal eye test.
any suggestions what could have caused this to happen as ive never noticed it before.
I'd definitely have that checked out! Maybe also mention it to your doctor.

I jumped straight on to reply but I'm sure someone else has already said...what you described sounds exactly like migrane interference patterns, I get them before a migrane attack. Best go see ur doctor about this one, you can get the interference pattern without the actual migrane coming on.

There are other things I was going to reply to but I am like dory and I'm on my mobile so I'll come back :)

I don't do text speech either - my texts usually run to 2 x messages as I am 'old school' and refuse to follow the herd.
The reason for the 'name' is because I got so fed up of trying to find a username that hadn't already been taken, I tried variations until I got a result :D

This thread inspired me to clear out a large pile of boxes and packaging I had been saving yesterday, so many thanks for that. :T They have just been collected by the council recycling wagon. (I did check on my local freecycle first with no luck).

Incidentally, I'd be interested in a daily newspaper dated 28th June 2014 and 3rd July 2011 if anyone is getting rid.

Having a lazy day as feeling a bit rough but hope to sort out a cupboard of ceramics later this week for listing on preloved.

Got 2 bin liners of clothes for the charity shop too, when I can get my son to take them for me (no transport).

Good luck to everyone with their own particular goals:)

Aha! Found it :) can this be any daily paper? I may have one from the 28th I will check :) the hubbie hoards them for the sport :)

Anirtak.. It could be the diabetes.. best speak to the clinic about it. We were told if there are any visual things going on to get it checked.. it could also be tiredness or stress or poor lighting or migraine.. but do get it checked!!

If you need new specs you can get lenses put in old frames or they do have free frames which might not be the most beautiful but it will lower costs.. the bog standard lenses are about £52 I think now, are you sure you have to pay for them?? My son is T1 but he is 15 so gets free tests and stuff so I'm not up to speed on what adults do/do not have to pay for.

and it is not really allowed to ask medical stuff on here as we are not medically trained, but it has obviously concerned you so please get it checked!!

been trying to ring opticinas, the one i wanted to go to locally is all booked up but have to wait till 2 to ring their other shop slightly further down the road the other direction, or i could ring the one im not too keen on i spose see if they got any openings. felt really uncomfortable last time i went there.
used to suffer with migraine type headaches then it was suggested it could be the aspartame in the sweetners i used, and the headaches went when i stopped using stuff with aspartame in. but not sure if that was just a coincidence. didnt have a headache last night, but got one today behind my eyes.
so going to book an appointment maybe i can get one for when hubby finishes work this afternoon. before they close.

    Gosh! 2pm already!
Keeping busy, just the dog and I. Everyone is out.

Still doing the fling! It really shows. Makes a tidy house :0)

This morning I managed to knock a glass off the draining board and it broke on the floor :(

Opened post by recycle bin and decluttered.

I have done some deadheading of flowers in the garden. We have a paid for garden wheelie bin the council empties every 2 weeks.
Picked some sweet pea's for a vase. Lovely scent in the home.

Binned some mugs as we had too many to fit on the x2 small shelves that house them. Still have over 20. Ek.....

Had a sort out of my lock and lock boxes and put more into use in the kitchen. Open packets into boxes - it looks so much nicer/decluttered.

Put x2 new books onto my kindle, I do not buy books any more.
The ones I now own are mostly craft or cookery ones.

Just off to dance with Dyson and tidy up the floor.

I always find something to do :0)
    Small steps...
    Have a good day everyone.

Today I have donated 5 pairs of brand new jeans dumped on me many years ago by a friend I haven't seen for many years.

I used to sell the occasional thing on eb&y and she dumped them as she left one day saying she would like me to sell them for her and she hadn't got time. Now at the time she did spend many hours looking after her horses and animals after spending time at work ( a normal, dull 9-5 job). I on the other hand was working 80 plus hours every week and taking work home with me....I wasn't spending time faffing around with hobbies. According to her I had so much more free time as I don't have horses!!!!!!!!!! I know the animals meant a lot to her but I sometimes got sick of the self pity when it was a responsibility she took on but would wear it like a badge of penance ( is that the right word?)

The cheek of it. Expecting me to sell, package and take them to the post office and then send her the money.

This has annoyed me for years so do you know what out they go.

Sorry I think I needed to rant, it's been grating for years and they have added to the clutter of my house.

    Apologies. I will go now.
