I hope so. At the moment the more I get rid of the bigger I seem to get. Perhaps I like spaces to be filled.;)
A little pile ready to go to the tip this but I'm going to wait until I have a full load. It will annoy me sitting there but it daft to waste fuel.
Also a couple of bits put out for the rag and bone man. Onwards and upwards.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Morning all and waving hand....
Well! how much can change in 24 hours?
We have lost the new this summer sun umbrella. Just gone?
A mistry? no one has been in our garden. I put it out in the patio table yesterday when I was tidying the conservatory.
Beige in colour and a heavy type. Good quality. You have to wind the handle for it to open. cost £25.
Did it go with a gust of wind? no neighbour has been round to hand it back. I have looked over the fence in both gardens.Nothing.
I am going to walk the dog next, past the postbox to declutter x2 letters for the postal service. Get paid in stamps for receiving and posting trial mail.
Plans for today = Try and tidy the box bedroom.
Our son has moved out. Taken the bed and tv and left the rest to collect later.
Just talked a neighbour - no! have not seen umbrella.
Asked about some old scrap metal he could see. Pleased to declutter a broken sun lounger, washing worlie line and a few other bits.
Def. not a hoarder, I love throwing out and having more space. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
parsniphead, are you sure he doesnt do it on purpose so you dont ask him lol. i know my bil used to do that with his wife so she would stop asking him to do certain stuff, (everything) i just get annoyed when mine doesnt do something, and i only ask him to do things that he does better than me.
like kitchen floor for example, he tells me off cos of my back when i do it, i get down and scrub with a brush, so thats another of his jobs, as well as doing the stairs lol.
and being disorganised unfortunately for me means knowing where everything is, cant find a thing when i tidy up
gq.
i have been trying to diet for 14 years with barely anything coming off if anything did come off it would go straight back on without changing eating habits over the following fortnight, 3 years ago i decided to give up trying, ate what i fancied when i fancied it, so basically if i wanted steak and chips i had it. munched on sweets that were out after christmas on the table etc grab a few on the way past lol, i actually lost half a stone, but its stopped again but atleast it didnt go back on this time, ah well another 12 years i might do the same lol.
well gotts go get ready have about 10 minutes if that and then got to leave for drs appointment, unfortunately didnt get round to reading all of what she wanted int he past few weeks (12 out of 80 odd pages) but i iwll keep trying to read it and understand it later on.0 -
If all goes to plan this week, we will be moving on 1 chair, a bed, a chest, a duvet and some books. As well as the leftovers from the redecorating. Halfway through yesterday DH decided that he didn't want to do the second coat of paint yesterday. Insisting would have led to a row, probably. So I took DD out to the park. With her out of the way, he had time to decide that maybe he would after all, so all the painting was done. She had a great time playing with DS. He doesn't normally come with her, being older, so she was very bossy.
Would like to get rid of the PS3 too but I don't think that will happen!
Think I am also ready to go through the ex-boyfriend's cards and letters and just select a couple to keep. They weren't exactly literary masterpieces.
Oh, why does work have to get in the way of my home life.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I have heard stories about positive correlations of clutter loss to weight loss, so maybe there's hope for us both.

It took me ages to figure out your name. This is why I don't do text speak.
I don't do text speech either - my texts usually run to 2 x messages as I am 'old school' and refuse to follow the herd.
The reason for the 'name' is because I got so fed up of trying to find a username that hadn't already been taken, I tried variations until I got a result
This thread inspired me to clear out a large pile of boxes and packaging I had been saving yesterday, so many thanks for that. :T They have just been collected by the council recycling wagon. (I did check on my local freecycle first with no luck).
Incidentally, I'd be interested in a daily newspaper dated 28th June 2014 and 3rd July 2011 if anyone is getting rid.
Having a lazy day as feeling a bit rough but hope to sort out a cupboard of ceramics later this week for listing on preloved.
Got 2 bin liners of clothes for the charity shop too, when I can get my son to take them for me (no transport).
Good luck to everyone with their own particular goals:)0 -
need advice please, this evening while watching some tv, i noticed i had a small amount of blurred peripheral vision on the left, that gradually grew, to most of my peripheral vision over a few minutes. this is hard to explain, in one way it was blurred but in another way it wasnt, it was like something moving really fast that it looked blurred.
after another few moments my vision went back to normal, im thinking i should go get my eyes checked as its been a while, the test i get for free, due to being diabetic, but i have to pay if i need new glasses and i cant really afford them so apart from my retinopathy? witch has shown no changes due to diabetes, ive not had a normal eye test.
any suggestions what could have caused this to happen as ive never noticed it before.0 -
If you get eye tests for free then you may as well get them checked and ask the optician. You could also try phoning 111 for NHS advice. They may be able to put your mind at rest.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them.
