only thing they will probably do is give me reduced delivery cost next time or somehthing like that, thats if they will do anything, im always surprised when some places actually take complaints on board.

I have always found it best to ring them for anything rather than go into store (saves on petrol/bus fares etc.)

I always ring their customer services on 0800 50 5555. This is a free to call number AS LONG AS YOU RING FROM A LANDLINE. I think it costs to call if you are using a mobile phone.

If you don't get any joy this way, send an email to their Chief Executive philip.clarke@uk.tesco.com to complain.

They have always been very good whenever I phone them. I find that explaining the situation in a calm manner gets you a lot further than screaming and shouting would.

Glad to hear your headache has gone today. Good luck at the opticians tomorrow :)

Ih8stress - is it really important to you to get a back issue paper? There are several back issue websites that you can buy papers from, not exactly MSE but if it's important it you it can be worth shelling out for it :)

If I can't find one for you I think you can order them, I'm pretty sure there is a service that does this or you can do it direct with a newspaper company. HTH :)

Maybe check with the parents whether they would want one as a keepsake. My mum used to save the papers from Royal Weddings and other occasions for my children. Frankly, it was more of a hassle; yes, it was quite interesting to look at for 10 mins occasionally but not worth the storage element in my opinion. But we are all different and, like anything else, if the pleasure you derive from it is enormous, then of course it is worth it.

Thank's for all the suggestions. It's not really important to get one, no - and definitely not worth paying out the stupid amounts the websites charge. If one cropped up for a few quid I would be tempted though.

I would be the one 'storing' them - they would only be issues for the actual birth dates - not for year after year, so not much of a problem (unless I end up with hundreds of grandchildren, ha ha). Yes, I know, this is a 'decluttering' thread :D

I actually have one going back 30 odd years when my son was born.

Big bag of worn out and little used or outgrown shoes going out. Either we have had our money's worth or they were cheap from a charity shop or they don't fit DD, so why do I feel cross about it? Not cross enough to keep them, and there were so many in the hall that they annoyed me, but I still feel niggled.

I got a day off today as DS was also off and I thought we could have a family day. I even said that. But he has gone off to see friends.

Meanwhile, we have a chest, chair and coffee table to go. Contents of the chest - half to go for recyling and the other half to be sorted through first, which is quite a nice job for later. Towels etc are washed and on the line.

Kitchen is a mess with all the clutter ready to go in the car. In fact, I have been to put my mobile phone on charge three times this morning and got so distracted by the clutter that I have forgotten to do it.

ww. my step mum had 2 black bags full of shoes she had no choice but to throw out a couple of years ago, she collected them, the higher the better for her had spent a small fortune on them (why she liked having them so high is beyond me considering she is blind and couldnt keep very steady on flat shoes at the best of time especially when steps were concerned).
but someone had gotten the rubbish bags mixed up with her shoes and through out one bag of shoes, (personally i think it was done on purpose cos everyone thought she had too many) so she had ended up with barely any matching pairs left.

well some good new i think on my eyes, it was an optical migraine i had. he had a full health check of my eyes, and apart form slight high eye pressure witch he wants to keep an eye (wants me back to check that every year)on and the bottom of my eyes showing signs of hayfever they are healthy.
my lens need to be changed but he couldnt do that test to find out how much change there is as he had put the drops in my eyes to make them look freaky to check their health etc. so have to go back for that test in a couple of weeks.
but at least apart from the pressure to be kept an eye on everything is fine :)

seeing better without my glasses at the moment due to the drops gonna leave it couple of hours at least for them to calm down then will sort out the rubbish for bin day tomorrow, and will either go and make a couple more cards or tidy up the table.
you really dont want to see the mess ive left on there from just doing those couple of cards, i forgot to get my sweet tub out, i keep a sweet tub normally by my side to put all the bits in i dont need and forgot to get it out so all the little bits that would normally go straight into there and then into recycling is kinda splashed about the table :D

well hubbys being nice and done me a sandwich for dinner, dont know if im going to be able to eat it but will have a go

well had a visitor tonight, and im really hoping it has decluttered itself.
sitting down with hubby, and i noticed somethign out the corner of my eye and thought thats a big moth, until i followed it round the room, first thoughts thats too big for a moth, then im going !!!!!! is that its moving too fast to see it properly.
hubby looks up, at first doesnt see anythign then sees it and says its a bat.
no idea how it got in, unless it came through the kitchen window even tho i wouldnt have thought it was open wide enough to get in, but in it did get.
i scuttled out of the room. to get away from it and it must have followed me out the kitchen, hubby followed but it disapeared and we couldnt find it. so hubby suggested we close the kitchen door and open the window wider, so im really hoping its taken itself out.
no idea what to do if it hasnt

I had a bat a few years ago. I caught it, with gloves on and put it in a box. I called the bat protection league who said to put it high up outside in a covered place so it could swoop when ready. It needs to be high to swoop to take off. Unfortunately the one I had was poorly and died a few hours later on the high perch. The man from the B P L said it was probably ill or injured and that why it came in.

Ideally leave the windows open for it to leave as they are protected and not supposed to be touched but If you have to just take care to wear thick gardening gloves.

I love bats, they are so cute with there little furry bodies.

if a bat is flying you can use a piece of net curtain to throw over it and simply take the curtain outside, hang in a covered place, and it will fly off of its own accord.. we have had a few brought in by the cat, I just wait until they settle and use a piece of curtain to get them out. My friend worked in a bat rescue centre and she says this is how they caught them so long as you don't try to pull them off the curtain because that breaks all their tiny toes it is very safe.
