if a bat is flying you can use a piece of net curtain to throw over it and simply take the curtain outside, hang in a covered place, and it will fly off of its own accord.. we have had a few brought in by the cat, I just wait until they settle and use a piece of curtain to get them out. My friend worked in a bat rescue centre and she says this is how they caught them so long as you don't try to pull them off the curtain because that breaks all their tiny toes it is very safe.

I wish they had old me that, it would have saved a lot of time.

I'm off on holiday on Saturday and have decided I don't want to return the a house which looks like this so I have decided on a big push for the next few days. I will take no prisoners and I will get rid of STUFF .I have made some improvements today and feel proud to say for the first time in years my bedroom is neat, tidy and not miserable when you walk in. I haven't seen it looking like that for a long time. I still need to do the little walk in cupboard in there which I may do on Wednesday when the LO is at kindergarten as its impossible when he is around. I also need to visit the tip so may do this on Wednesday too.

I then planned to start downstairs and making headway into that but mum asked me to take her to the local DIY store. This isn't good for me as I love those places but I managed to pick up a reasonably priced curtain pole. It's only a boring pine on but it means I can get the curtains put up in the lobby by the back door which have been sitting in my wardrobe for 18 months since the old one broke. Definitely a job for this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

The next job is to clear under the sofa (again) of all those horrible little bitty, plastic toys that get pushed under there. I HATE BITTY TOYS.....GRRRRRR. Then I will need to vacuum and mop the floor.

I will clear this house of clutter, I will, I will........

ive not seen the bat since we opened the window wide last night, so im hoping its flown out.
but the net curtain will be a good thing to remember for next time, if i got one, as i think i got rid of all mine when i was going through everything i dont use net curtains i got roller blinds up.

well i got a full list of things to try and get on with this week more cleaning / tidying, maybe some sorting out see what things i go through first.
going to do the babysitting thing again on thursday till monday, but its the same again the following week, so im going to see what the money is like as its near the end of the month and im not sure if im going to have enough to come home then go back again as its around 15-20 for a round trip. and as my nan is coming back with me i gotta do all the stuff i would normally do within the few days before she comes.
according to my husband i go over the top when cleaning and tidying when she visits, this is normally the time all the cupboards get filled up with stuff i never know what to do with, but one of the cupboards i got to go back through any way this week to get the spare pillows out. might do that tonight as its the biggest of my jobs to do.
i got a load of wool there as well im still not sure what to do with it, was going to crochet it up into blankets just to get it used, but cos i put it in the cupboard ive not really wanted to sort it out, you know tha tout of site thing again lol, but at least its just a cupboard now not a room full of stuff lol.

I went through my medicines yesterday and chucked away the empty boxes and empty blister trays.

1 book and a parasol out this morning.

Wheely bin and food bin out.

1 old, knackered lunch box into recycling.

I have been continuing with the manic blitz today. I have sorted the bathroom and kitchen both which were started a while back so actually didn't take to long to get neat and tidy.

Next on my list is the back room which is like a dumping ground and starting work on the cellar which is piled high of useful stuff and rubbish. I can't get to the useful stuff though which would help with getting the rest of the house completed.

The cellar is going to be a massive job and I think I will fail if I try to do it all at once so I'm going to challenge myself to one step at a time to begin with then work into the main room part. To be honest the steps are probably worse than the rest of it.

Lastly any mums out there who know how to de clutter the word

Why is it embarrassing?? It is no different to saying tummy or toes or bottom.. it's just a body part and we all have nipples. I'd be more bothered if they were swearing but naming body parts you encourage.. how often do you say. where's your nose/toes/eyes/tummy?... chill.. it will pass it is a new fun word!!

I'm a bit shy really and hate people looking when he does it. It's not so much what he says but other reaction. He is also VERY loud.

Mind you it is embarrassing when he shouts it while trying to free mine from clothing which nearly happened today. No more vest tops for the time being as the man in Aldi nearly got an eyeful.;)

but by not letting him say it surely you are passing on your inhibitions? Do you want him to be bothered by it?

people only look because someone is making a noise, they would look if he was shouting train or cabbage or slippers.. it isn't the word they are looking at it is the noise.. unless they think they might catch a booby glimpse so need to check it out.. ;)

I've breastfed my brood and the word nipple, breast, boob, hooter, whatever is just part of every day language.. mind you nothing, and I mean nothing, is sacred in my family.. if it has a word you can talk about it! My son gf used to come round with him when she was pregnant and he would have to ask me questions about bodily functions because she wouldn't.. we had conversations about everything from boob leakage to vaginal secretions and poo!

My little one has my jugs out constantly.. she screams like a steam whistle so your ears ring and rags my clothing with both hands and teeth and shout NIN!! She had a major scream in church when we were there on sunday for her baptism.. I couldn't get it out quick enough as I was fighting with my dress .. as a result the whole congregation turned to see why she was screaming as I lobbed it in her mouth.. then they asked for us all to go up to the front of the church.. not happening. heels and breastfeeding are not condusive to safe walking!

I doubt the man in Aldi would complain! .. :p

he is just trying out new words, it will be a new one next week.. best hope it isn't a real naughty one.

Do try ... please don't shout, shhhhh ... in a whispered voice.. to prevent shouting in public which draws attention you don't like, but he is only little.

i got nephwes who at one time would betrying to pull down my tops, but they didnt say anything just trying to grab, thought it might have had something to do with being breast fed, and i just used to say no they are not yours they are mine.
the shouting tho i have no idea.

used to really grate on me tho, that i would say something, and depending on whos kids they were, usually sil, i would actually get told off for saying them, sometimes not too bad words, sometimes swearing under my breath if i dropped something, but kids being kids used to hear, and the bit that used to grate on me was, while i was getting told off, i would be told i wasnt allowed to say that word cos it was a mummy word, and they would point out the fact that im not a mummy so im not allowed to say it, even tho coming from a kid it would still hurt as at the time i was still hoping it would happen for us.

if my sil didnt like the kids saying certain words she, (have to be honest that n i p p l e s would probably be one of them,) she would tell the kids it was rude and not to use it, or give them a different word to substitute it, one of the kids has terets?/aspergers/adhd/ocd and swears a lot, and at one point if she didnt like some one and they tried talking to her, or didnt like what they were saying, she would say f you, so sil got her to just say thats nice instead of swearing at someone.
she also tought them the difference between an indoor and outdoor voice.
unfortunately i could rarely hear their indoor voice, and my hearing according to the test i had was perfect.

but you have to admit kids can say the funniest things at times, my neighbor was over once, and her kid was with her, and i was cutting out bits of paper for a card i was making, and she asked me what i was doing, i simply replied playing with paper, her reply,
but your too old to play with paper,:undecided
    gee thanks lol
