we have about 8 different ones within a 10 minute stroll of the house, so rest assured whitewing, the carp won't be left to linger!
We choose to support the British heart foundation, as I've had heart issues and we lost my bampy to a heart attack when he was in his early 50s. Every time I go in I drop off a load of full bags and leave with a load of empty ones to refill.
currently have 2 bags filled, so will pop down one day in the week.
Am also shopping from the kitchen cupboards. Want to run the stocks down so I can do an 'Armageddon' shop before I go back to school.
OH has 3 days of l-o-n-g shifts this week, so need to plan how I am going to spend my time without him under my feet trying to 'help'know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Morning everyone x
- Climbing out from under the clutter so say Hi!
My mum is now out of hospital and in a re-enablement facility; we were told it would be a long slow recovery but she's making progress despite set backs - some expected (pressure sores and oedema); some not expected (having to swap rooms due to a swarm of flying ants). I visit a couple of times a week to give my dad a break but have to pace myself so that dad gets a break but I don't spend that much time with her that I want to strangle herHey ho!
Had a final trip to Hull yesterday to bring home the last of DS's belongings - he graduated on Wednesday :T I guess it was a good thing that I had cleared a lot of space before life went t!ts up as it meant DS had somewhere to plonk his stuff when he unloaded his grandad's car with the first load on Friday. ( That car must be a Tardis! I walked in and wondered where my kitchen had gone!!!) Which reminds me - my car boot is still full. Oh joy!
So I'm here - but I'll be intermittent as DS hogs lappy when he's home - and I can't say much as it is his! lol I need to be here though as there is now so much 'stuff' in this house again.
I'd better make a start- love to all

Recycling has gone, including the stuff I sorted yesterday.
I also sent 5 wooden magazines racks out. They gave me the illusion of being organised but really they were just delaying the decision-making. I wanted to pass them on to family, but DH said that their place was cluttered already and they would keep them rather than decide if they needed them. So we have given them the gift of not giving.
Shredded paperwork gone too.
Books gone to the charity bin.
Doing
Cut of midpost as DD decided to lay across the laptop to stop me typing.
Doing the washing as 30 min loads today as it is not dirty but has been worn. Such a joy to have it out.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I gave away 4 packs of patterned paper to a local group that have craft sessions. The lady was so surprised and delighted, it made me feel really good. I had ummed and ahhed for a while, thinking that I could use them, but it is good to have them go somewhere where they WILL be used.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. "The gift of not giving" - wow - that's going to be my catchphrase for the Summer holidays. I'm always tempted to keep things for my daughter; but really, she's worse with the clutter than I am, so it's not doing her any favours.
Thanks, Whitewing0 -
with the help of my lovely mum an old tree in our garden has been chopped down. I now need to chop the big branches into smaller, more manageable logs. I'll season it and use it as fuel for the fire pit in a summer or two.
garden looks so much bigger now it is gone, makes me feel motivated to push on with the rest of the garden which has been much neglected.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Did second drawer in wardrobe, more moth evidence
. Will be out tomorrow and if the weather is nice will keep cracking on in the veg plot after. BUT now that I've started I will keep doing something in the house each day whenever possible. I will not put my new shirts I brought home from holiday in that wardobe!

I have a big folder that is too big that I need to get rid of. Why is it so hard?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
