afternoon all, hope all is well,
seems everyone been quite busy today, me, i seem to need a rocket booster strapped to my back to get moving lol.
what i need to get done, i wont say is overwhelming as such, its actually probably nothing, especially compared to what i used to have to get done and keep putting off. but it does feel like the room has grown in size since the removal of 98/9% of the clutter that i was collecting in there.
any suggestions, do i just clear the top of the desk and leave it in the middle of the room and work round it, or should i try and tidy up the cupboard in the hall, so i can store the computer desk in there until i decide if i am going to get a smaller one or not. if i do that will have to take apic of it before i take it apart in case i sell it to put the money towards a new desk. hope i am making sense lol.
maybe first step, is finish my dinner, (crisp sarnie, cba with anything else lol) and turn up the music.
then empty the top of the desk, theres not much there so shouldnt take me long, and find somewhere to put the computer, so maybe clearing out the cupboard in the hall will be done for that. will see if i can get
moving enough to get that done.
right wheres my energy stick, i need to get moving, lets look around and see what i can get moving on.0 -
ok i need advice please.
we just had a knock on the door, and got asked to go and see our neighbour,
does any one remember me saying about being able to get a zimmer frame for our neighbour that had had a fall.
well my husband went to see her, and even she has allready thanked us for getting it as it has helped her a lot to be able to get around her own home. that to us was thanks enough, but now she has also given us a card with money in. we allready said we didnt want anything when she offered before about giving us something for petrol to go down the road to pick it up. we told her we didnt want anything,as we didnt help her to get anything back, but it seems she has insisted on putting money in the thankyou card for us. and we are not sure what to do, accept it, or or would it be insulting to say your thanks was enough but please take the money back.
for all we know that money, even tho its not a lot to some, could be plenty for her. and we cant understand why she has more or less insisted on giving it to us.
what would you do in this situation please.0 -
I would accept it graciously. You have already told her it's unnecessary but she wants to treat you. Buy a fish and name it after her!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

MyhappinessProject (love the name!) Good on you to start a cunning plan. DH & I had serious debt many years ago (big learning curve) & a lovely friendly bank manager (where did those go?) helped us & one of the best bits of advice for us was - Pay off the small debts first then add that payment money to the larger debts. There is lots of help and advice on the debt free wannabe forum that will be up to date. Good Luck - you can do itSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Small steps here, Wednesday's upcoming trip into town will relieve us of a pack of dvds. We won't get more than a couple of £ for them but there's more room on the shelf!First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0

It's glorious drying weather here - I now have a line full of washing blowing plus the airer stood by the back door, in the sun, draped in underwear. (And I don't mind if an unexpected caller arrives because...... I have invested in new knickers :T. And all the ragged specimens that I was wearing have been binned. Woop Woop.)
Bowlful of pots have been washed, dried and put away: glass for recycling is currently soaking ready to be delabelled and put out. Two plastic bottles have been rinsed and recycled.
I've taken a 'Things to do today' notebook out of the notebook stash - I'm not 'into' clothes; stationery and books are my 'thing' - and I'm going to re-write my 'to do' list, safe in the knowledge that other people have 50+ items on their list and the world hasn't ended
Plus I don't have a calendar, but I do have a diary so I'm going to use that .....think I know where it is... yep found it
.. tis what you might call 'organised' chaos round here....and write down Council Tax pay dates, MOT expiry dates, etcetera etcetera. Good idea. Thank you.
I might be gone a while - I'm going to GET ORGANISED
Enjoy your day

morning/afternoon all,
well only managed to get my cupboard in the hall kinda sorted yesterday, got way laid a bit with my usual procrastination :rotfl:
today not as productive yet, managed to replace my thumb print with a swirly design :undecided (spoon fell on top of cooker, and i forgot it had been on and hadnt cooled enough so when i picked it up to move the swirly design on the end replaced my print)
going to offer neighbour a pork dinner, dont know if they will accept, but will try as a thank you for their thank you, if that makes sense.
plans are as long as i dont start procrastinating again, (i seem to be very good at that :rotfl: )
move blanket box into now empty cupboard, finish clearing desk top and put that in there out of the way.
get husband when he gets in from work to find a new home for his drift wood.
then scour the walls for all the little holes and dents i know are there from nails and knowing the previous tenant the dents are due to him loosing his temper.. ive seen the remmnants of his temper left in the attic, broken tvs, microwaves, tables etc that he had thrown and broken  . (he also admtted he had a temper when i came to view proerty as we did a swap)
that should be enough for me getting on with for now.
now wheres my rocket :rotfl:0 -
Roundtuit - do you have a calendar on your PC? Some of them allow you to put in dates and alert you up to a week before to let you know when they are due. I use mine for birthdays, set with a 5 day reminder to give me chance to get a card & post it haha. It also helps to remind me to pay bills, read meters etc.
At the moment I am using Mozilla Thunderbird for my emails & calendar - a free downloadbeen using it for about a year with no problems.
