when we come back,I might or might not get a chance to sort out kitchen plastics cupboard.[/QUOT

    Yeah...right.....

I am shattered, and aching all over .

Walked to pick up 2 out of 3 of my primary-aged kids. When I got there,I was reminded that 7yo stays back an hour for after-school activity. My son was desperate to come home, rather than play in a park close to school. So I walked 2 kids home, let them in the house then walked back to collect 7yo.Who suddenly was invited to go back to best friend's house,so I came home without her anyway icon_rolleyes.gif.
By the time I came home,I was hot, tired, legs killing me...

After tea, school-work,getting kids ready for bed, etc,I put a few things I had sorted today, into the loft.Put away kid's school certificates, special stuff from school into their own folders(containing things like school play programs and tickets, certificates for good work,"bump notes" :o).

I was still left with a couple of bundles of papers that I have sorted, but not arranged a place to file/store yet.For example, today I found cards from the children to me for Christmas, birthdays,Valentines day, halloween (:rotfl:).So have gathered them all togther, but not found a suitable storage place yet. It's going to need a darn big box when I finally get around to storing all the
Christmas, birthday,Valentines day, halloween,Easter, get well etc cards I have been given by 4 children over the last 12 years  :D.
So a couple of bundles of paper have separated into in manilla folders and I will put them back in the plastic box to continue sorting over the weekend.

Sum result of today:- one empty magazine holder, one empty plastic box,one two-thirds empty plastic box,two very achy legs :rotfl:.

i think im going to have to start rewriting lists again,
not much gone on today, just been pottering around a bit here and there, feeling not annoyed as such but as i am trying to work on 1 room at a time and i cant do much more in the room im working on till i get some paint on the weekend. altho i still got the desk to take apart but i could always work around that the room is big enough, can just move it intot he centre, oh and i keep forgetting baout the blanket box in there lol. probably cos its nearly full of wool that im not sure what to do with. i was planning on crocheting squares with it and making a blanket. to give me something to do when i eventually put the tv back on. apart form an hour or 2 where hubby has turned the tv on before going to work ive had the radio on. that way i get up and do stuff rather than sit and watch the tv. plus i work better with music on. going to try and get a decent night sleep tonight and start again tomorrow, will hopefully have more energy lol
  • Hello lovely people, I have been reading for a while and want to thank you for your inspiration and support in getting rid of all the STUFF in my home/life. I have a few days off work this week and after resting and getting my head together, I am now planning to spend the rest of my'holiday' letting go of things that are preventing me moving forward in my life.
Right, first things first, I am heading for the dishes in the kitchen sink...as good as any place to start! the whole house is messy andpacked to the gunnels with useful STUFF and rubbish , things I love and things I hate, I will report back later on my progress -Thank you for your support in advance...MHP

Welcome Happiness, you will be amazed how good you feel once you start the process and begin to see a difference.

Im just off out into the garden to plant some strawberries a friend sent me as they are cluttering up the kitchen. Then its pots and a quick swish round the floors and Im done for now. All clean washing put in its rightful places and bathroom already clean :j Still got a way to go but have all week to do some more.

:T Hello and welcome, MHP, good to have you aboard.

The kitchen is a brilliant place to start, because if that's a pig's breakfast, it all spirals out of control from there. A clean and orderly kitchen is such a morale booster.

My home is a bit of a muddle atm but I am hoping to get things back under control this weekend. Been rather busy for the past few days and not in brilliant health, but the long weekend should see things settled.

Will be having an early tea then heading up to my allotment which is about a 20 min bike ride away. I need to cover potato tops against the expected frosts tonight and tomorrow night, and to plant out some peas which I've had soaking (which will mean one fewer thing on the kitchen counter, come to think of it).

And the rotables will be taken up there for the compost bin, so that's all good. Keep on keeping on, lovely peeps. GQ xx

Thank you all for the welcome and your encouragement. This was the first time I had posted on an MSE forum and was feeling a bit nervous, but yoiu are all so supportive.
Well the doing of the 'dishes' took ages because there was a mountain of carp to deal with.Everything is clean and put away where it belongs -masses has gone out to paper+plastic and glass recycling,Horrible mugs and glasses have gone OUT. I have cleaned the fridge within an inch of its life and made a list of everything in the freezer and meal planned for the coming week.I have potted up the baby and lettuce plants that were taking up space on the kitchen floor. All the ood food and mouldy bread has been chucked and there is now a big pot of Veg/lentil soup ready for supper using up all the veg that was still ok. I did a load of washing+ hung it outside and that is now dry(i don't ever iron if I can help it)+ just needs a quick tumble before hanging up on hangers/putting away.. Still Loads to do(and that's just in the kitchen!) but Big space is cleared and some surfaces cleared and clean...WONDERFUL! I just need to keep it like that and DO SOME MORE tomorrow...onwards and upwards folks.
