I have to say can see where OP is coming from as I buy all groceries in my house and it's a bit annoying when you've stocked up lots on bargains and it disappears in a week!

Saying that, when I first met my husband he used kitchen roll because he could never be arsed to buy toilet roll...

    Pun intended, lol?

I have my own flat. Sometimes my boyfriend comes to stay with me. I think he uses far too much toilet roll.

For example, this weekend he stayed over from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. I'd just got a new roll, and it's some brand called "So Kind" or something like that which claims to have twice as many sheets as normal rolls. Somehow, he managed to use the whole roll while he was here!

I've told him about it and he says he doesn't think he uses that much. Should I just give up and be grateful that at least he's learnt to change it, and not just leave the empty roll there til I do it?

Dump this fool immediately, he doesn't deserve such a wonderful and understanding girlfriend.

The first time he has to put his arm round the bend to clear the blocked pan he'll moderate his paper usage. Until that time I wouldn't worry about it.

I noticed recently that my toilet roll consumption went up 10 fold when I had a spanish girl sharing my flat.

Are you sure your boyfriend does not have a vagina?
  • I think this is hilarious:rotfl: Mind you, if you have septic tank drainage it can be a bit of a problem if you use waaaaay too much loo roll. My hubby annoys me as we have one of those toilet roll dispensers on a stand and he just will not use the roll from there. He insists on taking a new toilet roll from the stack and placing that on top of the one on the stand!!!! When the roll is coming to an end he also refuses to use the last bits ( about 2 more uses worth ) He just leaves it anywhere in the bathroom and gets another new roll out. Drives me potty !!!

I feel your pain, OP. I have the same issue with my OH, just as I did with the one before him. I've tried to explain the wipe, fold, wipe again technique but he is just not interested.

I've also tried squashing the roll so it doesn't come off as easily.

It may sound petty but it's annoying when you are the one paying for everything and they just use it with gay abandon.

Asuming you're not a cougar and your username reflects your date of birth .....

A man who has been wiping his own bum for forty years is unlikely to change technique now :rotfl:

And more seriously if it's two men on the trot ....maybe you need to find men who pay their way rather than you "pay for everything" ?

A couple of years ago I was in France, and had to visit the public convenience.

There was an attendant in there, and you had to pay her a few cents to get a square of loo paper.

Perhaps this pay as you go approach could be adopted in this case?!
