Boyfriends and toilet roll

I have my own flat. Sometimes my boyfriend comes to stay with me. I think he uses far too much toilet roll.
For example, this weekend he stayed over from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. I'd just got a new roll, and it's some brand called "So Kind" or something like that which claims to have twice as many sheets as normal rolls. Somehow, he managed to use the whole roll while he was here!
I've told him about it and he says he doesn't think he uses that much. Should I just give up and be grateful that at least he's learnt to change it, and not just leave the empty roll there til I do it?

I'd be grateful he uses it, changes it and hopefully takes the empty roll to the bin. If he does you have a keeperThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Give it up as a bad job. The alternative - skid marks either in the pan or in the pants.

Toilet roll usage and amount of sugar in hot drinks are very personal and hard to change unless the person wants to.
What you're looking at is one of his personal habits and normal usage. If you think you can't afford it, then ask him to bring some round every now and again.
But getting him to change the amount he uses is not so reasonable or easy to achieve.0 -
I can't see a way of tactfully policing the amount of toilet roll someone uses. Sometimes when we're down to the last roll we joke that we'll ration ourselves to a square each, but really, people take the amounts they need.0

You can try the OS trick of squashing the roll so it's got two points where it can catch on the holder- some say it's a way to cut down. I have a chap who uses a certain amount whether he needs it or not so I feel your pain! They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0

I cant believe I;m reading this.
If my oh told me I was using too much toilet roll, Id be wrapping it round his neck to be honest.
Life's too short, forget about it, you'll give yourself an ulcer if you worry about little things like this.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

You need a hobby. One that leaves you with no time to think about things as inconsequential as loo roll."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
