Yes FatvonD - if 30k was the exact figure it would be almost right. However, as i said, i know (because he's bragged about it) that he earns MORE than that so no, his maintainence payments are not correct but im not going to argue with him over a few quid because its not worth it. Although what this has to do with a name I dont know
so far, you've blmaed me for claiming benefits that i am entitled to, made assumptions that the sun shines out of my ex's behind and now are picking at money...... want to blame me for anything else? lol
How about Smith-Johnson-Williams (just to be awkward) :rotfl:
That was one of the things that worried me - what happens if i die before DD1 gets to a certain age and is something that we are looking into now but thanks!0 -

Closer to right than the £21k you quoted thoughMake £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
No OP you are so right your ex is so not worth it, he sounds like some catch wanting to keep money back from his own child, pafetic specimen, every cloud has a silver lining thought he is no longer your problem, what a man his mother must be very proud :T0

Like others I am utterly perplexed as to why you want to change your whole family's name to your OH's.
You seem to think there is something wrong with a man changing his name. There isn't. I know several men who have changed their name (on marriage) to suit the family.
Fair enough it isn't common but neither is it unheard of.
You seem to be making an enormous fuss over something with a simple solution.0 -
I dont know what exact figure CSA used - if you knew anything about csa you would know they dont tell the wage. He told me he stopped OT so csa would use basic wage which is 21k. He hasn't declared his kids births (i tried but csa told me its not my responsibility) so your calculations are flawed because you DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING. Your making assumption - which have all been incorrect and irrelevant.
If you disagree fatvond then fine - but don't sit and make up lies to back your arguement up.
I don't think its wrong if a male wants to change his name, its personal choice - my personal choice is that I want to change mine. Each to their own0 -

I don't need to make up lies, and I have no argument, all I've done is shine a light on things you've posted yourself.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

That were irrelevant to my OP - why does it matter that i claim working tax credits or how much maintenance o get - it doesn't. You brought them into this discussion to back something up based on your assumptions.
Any how, I have answer now - cheers!0 -
And everyone has a greater idea of the background to the question so we're all winners!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Mimi_Arc_en_ciel wrote: »What chuckles me is that whilst people want OH to change his name instead - ok might seem simpler - but, why is his name any less than mine? In the long run someone will be 'losing' a name I don't mind it being me.
But it is simpler, and thats just it, my eldest daughter got my last name because her dad is nothing more than a sperm donor, so when i got with the hubby i asked him if he minded if our children could take my name too so my eldest wouldnt be left out (the donor made it clear if she couldnt have his name she wasnt having the hubbys name either) so the hubby took my name when we married so it was easier all round.
What on earth is so special about a name anyway?? who gives a monkeys uncle who looses their name i was thinking about your kids so your all the same but hey your choice.
Oh and if you have the money you can take your ex to court in order to get her name changed. There's this place in me where your fingerprints still rest, your kisses still linger, and your whispers softly echo. It's the place where a part of you will forever be a part of me.

Just as a quick reply to your initial post. I took my step fathers name when I was 6 years old. My Mum had had my brothers and I was the only one with a different name. My birth father objected to me being adopted/ legally changing name. I informally changed my surname- all of my school career/ exam results are in my 'known as' name though my passport was in my birth certificate name. It really didn't cause me any trouble/ embarrassment at all and when I was 18 the FIRST thing I did was legally change my name. I have since married and still kept the name I chose when I was 6 (my step fathers name). I suppose I'm just saying that informally changing their names until they are old enough really isn't the worst option.0
