I posted a thread the other day that a lot of sellers would be forced to stop reusing cardboard, but most posters don't really appreciate the impact.

I have to say, I am confused by their pricing.

Today I posted a fairly weighty notebook and a t-shirt - both packaged using the same brand / size padded envelope - yet the t-shirt was £3.70 to send as a parcel and the notebook was £2.50 as a large letter? The notebook was a bigger and heavier and the t-shirt was lighter and thinner - how on earth does the t-shirt cost more to send?!

How thick were the packages? If the t-shirt was packaged thicker than the notebook then it makes sense.

But it wasn't - the t-shirt was a thinner package than the notebook - which is why I do not understand it at all. I even questioned it and was told that it was because the notebook could be a large letter?!

The times I have needed to use a cube this week I have pointed out to the buyer that it is designed to fit the RM new prices and might be useful for them to keep and re use.

Was the t-shirt packed in a mailing bag? That could easily bunch up and not fit through the large letter slot. Whereas a sturdy notebook won't change shape and will probably slide nicely through the slot.

The only way to ensure clothing doesn't change shape while in the post is to wrap it tight between a couple bits of cardboard or buy a PIP (pricing in proportion) box.

Welll, I am in. I have spent the best part of 2 hours working out how to use the system. I called them again this afternoon as I clicked the button it suddenly decided to let me into the system.

The information they give you is very scant.

And I must give many thanks to alx2013 as without the information he/she gave on the process for labelling it and bagging it, I would have absolutely no idea whatsoever, the RM have not given me any information about this at all. Thank you.

By the sounds of it, they are so swomped under with new applications etc, their sales team just cant do their job properly.

Really am sitting on the fence now with opening a RM account, OR do I just use dispatch bay?????

    Me too!

Though I'm a little confused about the forecasting section of the general terms (4.4).
