You don't do it by size but by average weight. Which is really good for me as my items are light but some are bulky.
So if you send 10 parcels you weigh them all up and divide the total by 10.
We need our own O.B.A. thread!
I think I was lucky in getting set up so quickly. I phoned them 10th March I think and it took 2 weeks to sort out.

I think that is a good idea Alx2013... will you do the honours:beer:

When did you do your ap form?

Sent mine in on March 21st (Thu), don't think it was actually submitted until March 26th (Tue).

Is this for the new small parcel size?

The only size restrictions RM 24/48 have are 61x46x46cm (2kg for 48, 20kg for 24), none of this small/medium parcel with cube/tube exception.

Yes it's the new service 24/48.
I must say their O.B.A. website is as poor as the information they give!
At least my parcels seem to be getting there, I am paying average £2.21 to send parcels RM48 service so about the same as before!

Are you dropping your bags off at a delivery/sorting office or post office?

I drive to the local sorting office in the next village daily to drop the bags off.
I would walk to my local P.O. but I have not yet been sent any mailing sacks so have to collect them from the sorting office, and they only give me a few at a time!
So actually the money I save on stamps probably goes on petrol at the moment!

worth trying to find out a contact at your local mail centre
easiest(well should be) way to get bags sorted
also watch out for posties emptying their drop boxes on delivery
often filled with empty bags form not being emptied

In my local PO this morning they had a cube cardboard box at each counter, I assume this is the 16x16x16 small parcel exception gauge??
