  • Yes, a pair of lightweight shoes in a normal size shoe box is a good example of a real problem.

I am on the ball with the price increases now, I sell mainly clothes and have been posting in jiffy bags and getting everything under 8 cm. there is more of a chance of them bunching up in a mailing bag and going over 8cm??

Anyway my p&p and dispatch stars have increased from 4.91 to 4.94 so royal mail must be doing something right ;)

They will be about £3 with myhermes and £3.99 collect+.

I prefer the latter - but use both.

I always offer royal mail 1st class recorded too, if they want to pay the extra.

I agreee, shoes are unlikely to exceed the 1kg limit, so drop off at MyHermes would cost £3. LIke you I offer Royal mail as well as MyHermes, and so far no one has opted to pay the extra for RM.

just seen a dispatches show showing how the likes of tnt are when taking over royal mail services, eg. mail delivered every other day instead of every day and post staff having time quotas otherwise return with undelivered mail to depot. People waiting 3+ weeks for letters.

Thats the future because people believe better quality service is a ripoff.

It's official, I'm in love with my postie. I mentioned to him yesterday about getting an OBA and sending PPI mail, and he just rang my doorbell and handed over a bundle of 20 RM sacks! :smileyhea He also confirmed with the PO he'd be collecting my stuff from there.

Yes, he does get a Christmas present from me every year :D
