Had a complaint from someone returning something today about the increased postal prices (returning something she had ordered in error - she admitted that she had several things on her watch list and hit the wrong one!) Ho hum. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

when I got to the counter, the lady tried it through her gauge and though it went through easy enough, she said " it is scraping the sides you won't get away that, it will have to go 2nd class small parcel"
go to a different post office or person, sounds like that was a legitimate large letter to me! as long as it passes through the slot without being forced or folded/bent it should have been ok.if i had known then what i know now0 -

I have tried to take a photo of the two gauges together to show large letter is unchanged but it is useless and shows nothing, they aer both identical though.
However, I believe the small parcel slot on the one sent to me by RM is slightly under. With two different steel rules I make it 790mm, that is no more than a hairs breadth but it is not 800mm. I have not measured the ones on the counter in a PO as I don't use the PO.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Apparently RM New Business Managers were yesterday advised that "from here on, we should advise new applicants that it could take up to 1 month to get a new account set up, this is taking into consideration all the applications we already have on hand."
Of course mine was submitted to a part-timer on March 21st, but not actually queued until March 26th.0 -
Mine has been set up wrong as I was already a Smartstamp customer - apparently I have to be deleted off the system and then added again. Not holding my breath for it being any time soon....!!0

Shocking, fingers crossed it's not as long as you had to wait for your account to be opened in the first place.0 -
I still haven't even managed to speak to RM yet! Have direct tel # now though so fingers crossed *grim determination face*They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

Good luck - I have found them very helpful so far - although still no mailing sacks.

same here,
I emailed yesturday, had no reply, so I phoned, and the voice message said it could take AT LEAST 3 weeks:eek::eek::eek:
Noticed that collect+ is £3.99 for anything under 2kgs...don't really want to use them, BUT I think I might be forced to if this carries on:o there is only so long you can hold back selling stuff
did sell some knickers, so i might just sell knickers to the pervs on the bay until either RM sorts out my account or until I am desperate enough to use a courier for stuffWork to live= not live to work0 -
