Without an account or business license, it costs £1.71 China Post to send a 350g teddy bear wider than 16cm to the UK.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Posted two things today, one I thought would definitely be large letter size the other borderline whether it would go through but neither of them did - can't remember if I read on here or seller central that people thought the Large letter slot on the gauge was smaller than the old one when it's not supposed to have changed but it seemed like it to me. I've been trying to squish what I can LL size and have things listed with the P&P for that but now i'm not sure anything will go through the slot! Guess I'm going to have to revise the listings I can. So it seems they don't put the price of LL up but they sneakily make the slot smaller so less will go through!
i had this problem too! it now seems impossible for anything to fit through the large letter slotDec 2012:
Natwest Overdraft: £1600; Natwest Loan: £1000; Credit Card: £500; Hire Purchase: £2500
April 2013:
Natwest Overdraft: £0 - cancelled!; Natwest Loan: £0 - paid off!; Credit Card: £0 - paid off!; Hire Purchase: £1200 - getting there!0 -

I put parcels in one bag and letters & large letters together in another. You're not supposed to do this but my Mail Centre doesn't seem to mind and it cuts down on a couple of bags. Don't worry about having only a couple of items in a bag. I occasionally only have one small bubble envelope going abroad on its own in a sack! In the Mail Centres they have to turn the sacks completely inside out to make sure nothing is stuck.I am going to send everything 1st class, and as I only have one foreign parcel today I will send it regular mail... as well as the large letter size parcels. I can't be faffing around with so many bags!
Its correct. Special Delivery sub 100g...I was told that if I wasn't VAT registered that it would be cheaper to send Special Delivery (and possibly International) from Post Office, but as I've not got an OBA yet, I cannot verify it yet.
OBA - £5.65 + £0.11 (fuel surcharge) + £1.15 (vat) = £6.91
PO - £6.220 -
But it takes about 4 weeks to arrive!ballisticbrian wrote: »Without an account or business license, it costs £1.71 China Post to send a 350g teddy bear wider than 16cm to the UK.0 -
There might be a problem with the OBA. I managed to get my order booked at about 3:45pm but I've not been able to get back in since to check on some prices.mrs_sparrow wrote: »Well, what a pain in the backside, the accuont is not working, the online help links are invalid, I might as well have been smashing my head against the screen for the last 2 hours.

Dunno what you are all moaning about
Customers start to benefit from our decision not to raise letter-stamp prices
From today, customers will benefit from our decision to freeze the price of letter stamps.
A First Class letter stamp will remain at 60p for 2013, a Second Class letter stamp will continue to be 50p.
The price of a First Class Large Letter stamp will remain at 90p and a Second Class Large Letter stamp at 69p.
The price freeze was introduced even though we could have increased these postal charges.
Last year, Ofcom’s decision on a new regulatory framework for UK postal services gave us greater freedom in the way we set prices.
Best value
It put a cap on Second Class stamps for letters of 55p, indexed in line with CPI for seven years.
There was no cap for First Class stamp prices. But, we are pleased that we do not need to draw on this pricing freedom and have not increased our First and Second class stamp prices for letters and Large Letters this year.
Our stamp prices are among the best value in Europe.
In five of the six weight steps for First Class and Second Class mail, the cost of UK stamps is ranked in the bottom half of prices when compared with other European Union countries.
In some cases, the UK stamp price is the cheapest in the European Union.
For example, in the 21g to 50g and 51g to 100g weight bands, the 50p price of a Second Class stamp is the lowest of any European Union country.
In the 51g to 100g bracket, the 60p price for a First Class stamp is the fifth lowest in Europe.0 -

Collect plus have scrapped their requirement that items 0-2kg be in a jiffy bag.
Never really been a problem for me, as i just used large ones and wrapped them round the box. That said, i can use mailing bags instead now.
They are also increasing their size limits soon - to cash in on Royal Mails Price increase.
