Posted two things today, one I thought would definitely be large letter size the other borderline whether it would go through but neither of them did - can't remember if I read on here or seller central that people thought the Large letter slot on the gauge was smaller than the old one when it's not supposed to have changed but it seemed like it to me. I've been trying to squish what I can LL size and have things listed with the P&P for that but now i'm not sure anything will go through the slot! Guess I'm going to have to revise the listings I can. So it seems they don't put the price of LL up but they sneakily make the slot smaller so less will go through!0

if I had a 9cm plastic ball which weighed 50grams .and wanted to send it airmail to America , it would be cheaper than sending it inland UK.
right ?
No, but it might be cheaper to send it from China to the UK than from UK to UK.0 -

I would very much doubt this is the case
RM sell size guides to the public.so how would that tally?0 -
I posted out an old board game today, charged £5 postage for second class recorded without thinking about the price increase. Take it to the post office today, they want nearly £9 so I had to send it standard for £5.60.
The prices are crazy - I am not even using Royal Mail now - I think I am going to use Collect + or cheap couriers.0 -
Posted an item this morning, lightweight pair of shoes in box. Cost £5.20 . Cost to send last wk was £2.20!! Wary now!!If you change nothing, nothing will change!!0

It may be that they were generous before thats why I would like someone to compare. I can't remember where I read it now but think the new gauges measure exactly - so if the slot is exactly 25mm then something that is 25mm won't go through it.0

Just got my OBA confirmation through - have logged in and confused.com I am going to have to take an hour out tonight and work out what I am doing. I have logged in and cannot see any information at all.
It certainly isn't giving me the information that the Demo is giving me.0 -

i think you are right if for arguments sake your ball was also bigger than the 16cm cube, i had read this somewhere else that for particular size/weight combos it was cheaper to send abroad than UK
as an example assuming you had a 50g item that was a medium parcel size it would cost £5.20 to send second class within UK
but yes a 50g packet to USA would cost £3.500
