Thanks ballisticbrian - I'll look into them. We've always used RM as they've been convenient - we live just round the corner from the post office! Off to investigate now...
  • Brace yourself for chaos as those companies get inundated with parcels from sellers in a similar situation over the next few weeks.

agree, think there will be more posts on here about bad service, and parcels taking longer to be delivered ( hope it doesnt though)

I bet there are people watching the listings that are due to end this weekend, and know that the price for postage is wrong...

JohnathanA is it worth you selling books or some other line etc, even if you break even on them, just so you can get your parcels to 1000?

I dont sell that amount of parcels in a year, but up until now, it wasn't the main part of our business, but it will be this year...

It works out at approx 23 parcels based over a 45 week year..

Believe me I'm braced, I'm sure the couriers won't know what's hit them. It will probably be a week or so before people realise that couriers are cheaper than RM in some cases- but I'm braced

Just sitting here wrapping the items bought over night so I can drop them off this morning.

I'm going later this morning, just in case of any last minute BIN purchases.

Did I read somewhere that it's possible to buy postage from royal mail online at the current rates for posting on Tuesday?

That's what the pinks on the eBay community boards are saying. My parcels will not be checked anyway, but I have very few BINs that would make much difference on as I've changed them all already.
