Royal Mail new prices released

Thanks for the link, did click on it earlier on RM site but thought it was just the International prices as UK were not immediately visible, just scrolled over to right and found them.

A few of my packaging solutions which involve taking the cardboard packaging from some wholesale items and using them to send other items retail, are not going to be cost effective as it would move the item into a larger Royal Mail category. This is spelling disaster for the environment, as it will require a new box. The boxes being used twice before being recycled, now just once and consigned to the recycle bin straight away with the extra energy required to turn it back into a box again. Times this up across the country...

Is anyone else waiting for their accounts to be set up? There is no way this is going to be ready for Tuesday. I spoke to them nearly 3 weeks ago!!

Same here, about 3 weeks ago. I am almost there now though.

they did say it would take a few weeks due to the high volume of people wanting the OBA

I have only been listing things that will be under the 8cms guide or things that are larger and heavy that I would have sent by parcel monkey amyway...

I am lucky that I can adapt for the short term anyway..

I haven't even managed to speak to them yet.

Fortunately most of my stuff is small parcel size or goes ParcelForce anyway, but I'm holding off listing a couple of items until I have a RM account up and running.

I'll be honest, I would have thought it be sorted by now but here we are at the end of March and I have mailing bags and labels..... that's all. I don't even have any idea what to do with them. I will carry on waiting patiently then.

I have labels and tags but no bags. PPI licence number came quickly though, have you received yours?

well, I've spent almost all evening re-pricing our postage prices. Our volume is about 800 parcels a year, so not quite enough to register for the business account, which is a shame as most of our parcels will go from £2.70 first class to £5.65 due to their weight. I think our volumes will decrease as a result, as we won't be able to compete with those sellers who have a business account. I need to rapidly find some smaller stock (difficult given our range) to be able to compete to then qualify for the business account! It's hopefully going to be a busy summer..
