I have been offered free broadband + discounted line rental and a £75 making effective cost to £9.50, is this a good deal or are they currently offering any better deal please?0

Just got a 'Confirmation of your payment details' email. The total monthly sum of £5.00 is correct, but the breakdown seems a bit odd:
Sky Broadband Unlimited with Broadband Subscription Discounted (standard price=£7.50) = £0.00
Sky WiFi = £0.00
Supplement for not having Sky Talk = £5.00
Supplement for not having Sky TV with Broadband Subscription Discounted (standard price=£2.50) = £0.00
I've no idea why the £5 is attributed to the 'No Sky Talk' supplement?
Also no mention of the £75 credit, though presumably the fact that it states my first monthly payment will be £0.00 implies that there is some credit in place? (nothing shows up under MySky)
Instead of saying you have a discount for having tv and phone, they (for some very odd reason) start at the discounted price and add back £5 for no phone and £2.50 for no tv.
Assuming that you have Sky tv, you have free broadband, but pay an extra £5 for not having phone.0 -
I have recently transferred to Sky from O2 (broadband only).
Last September I received a letter from Sky that stated:
"We're planning to move you to Sky Broadband Unlimited in December/January for £7.50 a month - and you won't be tied into a 12-month contract"....
"If you're happy to move to Sky, simply carry on paying for your existing services. We'll assume from your next payment for your existing services after 30th October 2013, that you agree to move on these terms".
However I've just been informed by Sky that I'm in a contract period of 03/01/2014-30/01/2015!!
I have not signed up to any other services and just transferred by default as per the letter in September, so I don't understand why they have been put me on a 12 month contract?!
Has anyone else who has moved over from O2 for broadband only managed to move without being tied into a contract.
As SKy are refusing to accept that I shouldn't be on a contact, do I need to ask for a deadlock letter and take this further with a complaint to the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)?
Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks!0 -

When they sent you the "migration" notice letter, you will have been sent a brochure, "your guide to getting the most out of sky".
On page 12 it clearly sets out you can leave at any time unless you agree to a special offer and transfer early.
If you don't have this, print out the ts + cs here:
http://www.sky.com/shop/your-move-to-sky/legal-stuff/?DCMP=dmc-skycom:na_your_move_to_skyYou will not be subject to a minimum term for your services when we move you to Sky. However, you will be subject to a minimum term if you choose to take up one of our special offers and transfer your services over to Sky earlier than the switchover date.
And make that the basis of your formal written complaint.0 -

Your deal is £5/month.
They arrive at that by giving you free bb, and no charge for not having Sky TV. (ie they are charging you the £2.50 then crediting it back to you)
You are being charged in full the £5 for not having sky talk
Making your bill £5/month.
Your monthly payment due is £0 as your account is in credit.0 -
