Yes.
Do you still feel you got such excellent service when they got you to sign up?Bumble_Bee_1000 wrote: »... have to say that the customer service that I received during my call was excellent......
There is no doubt they have good salespeople!
All trained in the Murdoch ethos.0 -
LOL well I guess all salespeople are trained to give as little as they can get away with! The guy was knowledgable and did send a confirmation email like he said he would so apart from the fact he didn't offer me as much as he could of I still would say that at least he seemed to know his stuff and didn't just sound like he was reading from a script. I'm glad I phoned them back though!0

To make things worse after moving from O2, Sky have now charged me for the free broadband and are going to charge me for the Sky TV that they cancelled.
Is anyone keen to set up a SKY user group to start hitting them back???0 -
I fear that they have managed to get you into a 12 month contract on the cheap (for them).
When you migrate you are not in a contract.
They have been paying massive bribes to get people previously on a free o2 deal to enter a new contract including £75 credit.
I don't have a problem with a 12m minimum term if the deal is good enough. I was offered 12m free line rental, broadband for £7.50, Anytime calls for £5, and a £40 credit (effectively, the first 3 months free).
My concern now is that none of this appears in writing or in MySky (as yet), and that the agent told me that the only place that deal will appear is in my online account-the letter being sent out only gives the 'standard' price and that I should 'ignore' it.
I'm not prepared to go beyond the cut off date without something in writing, given the experiences of others. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
What is the "cut off date"?
When you accept a deal, they are supposed to allow you some cooling off to cancel, though you cannot return to 02 if you do.
(It seems from Bumble Bee that if you go back during the cooling off period and moan that others got £75 credit they readily give in and award that too)0 -
Those looking to move from O2 beware, I'm getting feedback from many people who have been promised deals and then nothing transpires, Sky make it that difficult to complain that people are accepting it rather than take the trouble to try and rectify.
It would be worth hearing from more people who have been ripped off on here0 -

That was the same offer I accepted, although I got £75 credit. I was already a Sky TV customer so was able to see the £75 credit straight away in my account.
For that you go to My Sky, then Bills & Payments. The credit was on the tab marked Charges on Next Bill.
The rest of the deal came through on my first bill exactly the way it was offered.
However I agree that it would have been better to have it in writing but Sky never do that.0 -
I think the problem is for people like us who are not existing Sky customers, and therefore have no access to a "Bill & payments" page. When I try to access that, I get:
"If you've moved over to Sky from O2 or BE: your first payment will be due around the same time of the month that you previously paid O2 / BE. Your first bill will be available online 14 days before payment is due. This may be a few weeks after your services have been moved over but we'll let you know when this is."
So, in practice, we may see this offer appearing there well after the end of the cooling off period!0 -

I was told that I can cancel at any time up to the transfer date (in my case, 4/2/14).
If Sky are capable of entering the 'special deal' into their system for billing purposes, which obviously they must be able to do, then why can't the same system generate an email or letter with the correct info on it-or why can't the account holder view that deal in MySky before first billing? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
After the takeover of O2, I was thinking of quitting Sky broadband as I wanted a static IP. But sky offered me £32 / month for phone, monthly landline rental, sky tv and broadband.. Does anyone believe here it is a good deal?0
