I have had sky tv for 3 years, never had an issue
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

What's the worse can happen if I stay with sky ?.

There are 2 bad things that could happen with any isp, and sky are no different:

    1) The service goes downhill

    2) The price goes up too much or the competition price drops and sky's doesn't.

Why not wait it out (especially if you got the free retention deal off o2) and see how they pan out on service, or the costs get out of kilter?

Had a call from Sky yesterday and came under intense pressure for me to give them my bank details to set up a direct debit as my info from O2 had not come through.

After a lot of discussion I said you do not need my details I am on 1 year free broadband via o2, then I will be leaving the sky setup anyway, eventually she gave up and said we will ring you again in September.

    Anybody else had this call??

Yes , this afternoon I was called by SKY on my MOBILE !

Got straight on the phone to O2 and went ballistic.

The only number SKY should have from O2 is my land line number that my Broadband runs on . I still have mobile with O2 but will now cancel when my credit runs out ( Sim only ).

Still trying to work out if this is a breach of data protection in which case I will take it further .

me too, but to be honest I cannot be sure that I never gave my mobile number to the Brodband side of O2, in which case I guess it's normal they have it.

Never thought of that, they rang me on my mobile as well which is a payg only to get the o2 discount, I was so wound up at the time arguing about why she wanted my bank details to set up a direct debit........Would never join Sky ....

No way ever would I give my bank account details out over the phone to a company calling me. Only over the phone if I initiate the call.

That is reason enough to tell them to hang up.
