I think the Murdoch Empire owns about 40% of BSkyB. Your pension funds may own some of the rest. By trying to sabotage Murdoch you could also be reducing your pension....
Just a thought.0 -

I'm more into Pork Belly futures though there isnt much difference visuallyFeudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
I have sky broadband and it isn't bad, but not great either. Their standard router's are pretty poor.0

I am currently minded to switch to BT as my phone line is with them and they do have a mega wireless network to pimp off.
I also have a virgin bit of wire in my house which potentially could be reactivated.
My needs really are only for a basic broadband service with no cap and decent throughput. Speed isnt an issue. I dont need any TV services either via the data link or via dish or cable.
I don't think there will be a a mobile discount as Sky won't have access to mobile accounts but not sure when the takeover will complete?
I think that's why the mobile credit was offered, to counteract the loss of discount.0 -
I was also just offered £200 on my mobile as well as the normal 12 months free, happy days.0

they must be desperate - buy why offer so much? what's the catch? There has to be something as this is getting silly - paying you £200 to use their service.
Sky will change things very quickly if what I was told today is correct.0 -

Maybe it's having a knock on effect with mobile customers?0 -
No this is broadband related - its something to do with customer numbers / base as long term contract holders will add value to any deal.0

The £200 is only going to mobile customers, that's what I meant0

That was my view. Until I phoned them this morning and they offered me 12 months free plus £200 credit on my o2 bill. That’s not my money J
They must be really desperate to keep customers at that rate
I am balancing it out by cancelling my Sky TV package, unless of course the make me an offer I can't refuse'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0
