Sky buyout of O2 Broadband

Does that include an Anytime calls package? if not then that is seriously expensive. (I'm with BE and I'm currently paying £13.99 for LL rental AND Anytime calls. Plus broadband of course - that's extra).
I pay £6.28 (no free calls) with Primus, I wonder how Sky are going to deal with the broadband only?'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
Your minimum contract remains in force, regardless of who now own it.
The told me because they had given me a free twelve months contract I could leave anytime without penalty, I wonder if they were telling lies and how that would be looked on by the courts'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. The court would have to see those "lies" in black and white.0

Service will go downhill now, and we will be paying a tyrant
I was dissapointed with this as I've been using o2 for home broadband for three years now and the service, and customer service, have been first class(Quite the opposite of their mobile customer service).
It seems I will now have to look for a new supplier as I'm no fan of the SKY brand and a colleague at work had it and eventually moved elsewhere due to speed issues.0 -
The Sky network is already massively oversubscribed in places. I hope they're going to look at capacity before migrating O2 customers.0

Ask for them to confirm this in writing to you.
You are still in the cooling off period and can cancel if they refuse!0 -

This is why the takeover will take a while and be phased according to the O2 person I spoke to;)0 -
It could be argued that, since no consideration has been given in exchange for the service (since the entire minimum term is free), that no binding contract exists.
Rather depends who has the bigger lawyers-I suspect that Mr Murdoch does.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Phased or not, Sky will still have to address capacity issues.
If my service suffers due to the influx of O2 customers I'll know it's time to move lol!0 -

Sky are simply buying customers! Sky are only buying O2 consumer home broadband and home phone customers.
O2 wholesale will retain their wholesale network and customers, so only home broadband customers will be migrated over to Sky's network eventually. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
