    Dear Artofdookie,

I intend to do the same thing. Do I have to phone O2 cancel the bb. Or directly upgrade through quidco and sky website, sky will help me terminate the O2 contract? Will there be any gap?

I've been with O2 for 4 years now... Trouble free good service

Been on O2 BB for years, rather than Sky get me for nothing i just switched today with Quidco for the £50 cashback and the 6 months free BB

Would you not benefit more from 12 months free with O2?

    Also, Quidco is not guaranteed.;)
  • Has anyone got 12 months free broadband without having O2 line rental?

If so, what do you say to get the 12 months free offer? I renewed my contract in January so surely I can't threaten to leave as I'm within the 12 months contract.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

    Yes, I have. :)
I renewed in December, today I used the 'Thinking of leaving' option, said I was unhappy about being shifted to Sky, Murdoch, etc ;).

I asked retentions guy "how did I go about leaving?"

I was instantly offered free 12 mths, bit of chit chat re. terms etc, pretended to think about it, then slowly accepted.
    Move along, nothing to see.

    Sounds great. Thanks!

Does that come with a new 18 months contract?

Were you assured that the free 12 months was going to be fulfilled by O2 or you going to wake up in a few months time & find yourself on Sky??

    Thanks in advance..

    Hi

I just got off the phone, saying I would like to move, I was told I am still in contract. Wait and see no point paying cancelation fees. I was offered nothing to stay :(

    I tried
