Happy birthday lemon! Hope you have a fantastic day. :bdaycake:

MSM - sorry the sonographer wasn't more helpful. Yay for measuring correctly and having another scan to look forward to soon tho :j

Amus , Kittenpie & Benice - Congratulations on your scans! :j:j:j Hopefully see you over on the next thread :o

Sweatybetty - Yay for the bleed disappearing :j Bet you feel a lot better now

I had my scan this morning too. 6+1. The sonographer saw a gestational sac and yoke sac. The baby was right up against the wall of the sac, so wasn't able to be measured. We did see a heartbeat - albeit not as clear as I had hoped for due to it being so close to the wall. No evidence of molar tissue. I have been discharged from the EPU now and will just be seen by the normal midwife - so have been and registered with them now.

I feel a bit, well flat now I suppose. Like betty - the lady in front of me had bad news and it brought it all back being in the same place. I feel quite sad when I should feel quite happy. Everything must be good otherwise they wouldn't have discharged me. And I know I wasn't expecting to see much with me only being so early - but I can't help but be a little flat still :o:o

I think we will have a private scan at 9 weeks as I think to wait til 12 weeks will be too much of a test for me :o

Thanks for lovely messages, and good to see some familiar faces like Vic and Angelmummy :)

I hate these early weeks! So nerve racking! Seriously thinking about not telling family until scan as I feel so anxious. My tummy has felt like its in knots for a week but nothing today but my feet have swollen over past few days. Not really feeling sick just hungry. I want a scan now!

Flower nappies aren't good when pregnant! Typically my son won't entertain potty and has had a dodgy tum for a few days. Makes me feel even rougher!

Kscarlet - I know what you mean - just wish these weeks would hurry so I can get past those first 12. I'm 9 +4 now and it's ddrragggiiinnngggg! We've opted to keep quiet this time, until 12wk scan (15/4) but now hubby working away Sunday for a month (out of UK). Would wait until he is back to tell peeps but I've got a decent bump already and it's only a matter of time before someone notices at work that I am only wearing tents, cant drink tea, hair & skin looks awful and im off to the toilets every half an hour! :-)

I ordered a Doppler yesterday in the hope hubby will at least get to hear heartbeat before he leaves us. I can feel 'fluttering' low down on my left side tonight too. :-) the trouble with losing a baby or two before, is that I know I will never really relax although am a bit better now I have passed where I got to last time. I feel sick all the time, don't fancy anything to eat but if I don't eat every hour - I vomit. It's awful but at least it reassures me - ill be worried when I feel better lol. Hope these next couple months go quickly for us all. Xxx

I feel exactly the same kscarlett. I'm 5+1 today and I've been having waves of nausea, the girls hurting and generally feeling uncomfortable. The tiredness and sleeplessness is pretty constant. Going to tell only very close family and best friends once doctor has confirmed next week.

Just had my scan date through. 16th April for me :D can't wait.

The sickness has eased off if I don't eat something all the time for me now which is lovely :D

Also feeling tiny little kicks in the morning. Don't trust the evening "pops" as I'm all bloated and gassy. :rotfl:

10 +3 today :) here's the 3D Pic he is at the moment.

  • hope you had a great birthday lemonmelon

I'm glad you had successful scans abis and sweatybetty. It sounds scary being in EPU, hope you don't have to go back.

I'm off to the 12 week plus thread, wishing you all a happy smooth pregnancy x

    Glad that happy scans continue.

Just watched OBEM, such a brave couple & a reminder how fragile life can be.

Have decided to tell 4 couples this weekend - all our closest friends. We are seeing them all at different times for various stuff. They are all people who we would want to support us if there were any problems.

It will be nice that we can tell them when we are both together & they are together as couples too.

OH & I are taking bets on who will most surprised. For those of you who don't know, we are 42 & 46 & always said that kids were not for us. We are great at being auntie/ uncle to other people's kids. No one knew we were trying (it took 18 months to get pg). We are expecting amazement (& hopefully excitement).

Had general nausea/ cramps this week. Nothing too major though - apart from having to find a 'quiet' toilet at work as I thought I was going to be sick at one point.

No weight gain (thankfully) & all clothes still fine - good job as I am overweight to start with!

    Scan date is 17 April.

Looks like some good news in this thread :)

My OH is inpatient at the best of times so pregnancy is NOT good haha. Still have 4 weeks to go until the 12 week scan and she's already getting frustrated!
