Yes they are new eggs (bought yesterday) Tesco own brand with the lion stamp.

I'd def eat them if I wasn't preg! hehe! but then I'd also eat brie and rare steak ;)

thanks for the advice, I think given how long they were in the oven (twice as long as the recipe stated as my oven takes longer than most for some reason) then the egg's probably cooked.

IMO they only give you the guidelines to be extra careful!

I still eat things that are out of date - but i was doing that a long time before i was pregnant & never got ill before - i am slightly more cautious now :rotfl:

I'd eat them.. the middles will be hot enough to have killed anything off and lion eggs are vaccinated anyway so will be fine.. unless you leave them more than 10 minutes so I suggest you eat all of them in one sitting

  • Had my scan :-) measured 6+3 which is exactly what I thought.
    Sonographer was a miserable.....
'So why are you here?' - to check how things are, I had a pregnancy of unknown location, so wanted to check things.
'Are you having pain then' - no, just needed reassurance as had another miscarriage also, if I see a heartbeat I'll have less worry!
'Well you wont see that at 6 weeks!'

Then she only did an external scan, even the midwife was confused by that! & she called it a 'very tiny nodule in a sac'

So at least i know its there, and measures right, but would have been nice to be scanned properly & see a heartbeat! Got another scan in 3 weeks, so should see alot more! :-D

Had my scan today, dated at 12w 4d so exactly as I thought. For some reason I ovulated pretty much straight after my period, so lied about my lmp and told them it was 30/12/12 rather than the 4/1/13 as I wanted to get all my scans etc at the right times. Not sure why that happened as I'm usually v.regular and ov on cd17/18. Bit worrying really as when younger me and oh had always used the rhythm method, relying on my so called predictable cycle!

Peanut was pretty lazy, the scanner had to do some prodding to get the nuchal measurements. Unfortunately I'm still being sick, hoping it will ease in the next couple of weeks!

So I suppose its time for me to move to the other thread! Congratulations to those with recent bfp's, and good luck to those with upcoming scans!

Can I ask a quick baking question please? I've made some biscuits that had 1 egg yolk in the recipe (as well as a lot of butter and chocolate!). Now they've cooled I see that they are still squidgy in the middle - do you think the egg is cooked through and they are safe for me to eat??? thanks!

I'm a keen baker and I would say the biscuits are probably squidgy due to the butter, chocolate and sugar content making them gooey rather than the egg being undercooked. I wouldn't worry about eating them at all.
  • So nice to see all the positive scans. Hope everyone is feeling well. xx

Lovely to hear about all the happy scans (even if some were done by miserable staff - what a shame moneysavingmamma)
