The injections shouldn't give you constipation as it is absorbed to the blood stream not heading to the digestive system...

Apparently they hurt more though :(

How do the injections work? 1 a day? 1 a week?

:rotfl: very very true. I might ask for the injections. It's weird as I take daily supplements which have 14mg in but still have a very low count :(

I never take any iron.. I get whined at every time they do my bloods.. anyway.. II've been between 5.1 and 7Hb after having my lot and bounced back up to my usualy 10ish by the time they are a few days old.. it is the iron stores which are important not the actual Hb .. unless there are other conditions.

I've not had my results back from the ones done 4 weeks ago but they take so long to come back anything could have happened.

Just had my bloods taken again. She said they don't do Iron Injections anymore, only Iron Tablets or Iron Infusions (whatever that is).

She was horrible though :( Couldn't get much blood out so had to wiggle the needle round which hurt like hell :(

  • Just sneaking in as I've got my scan tomorrow! 6+3, should should give me an idea of how things are. Not had symptoms for about a week, once my back started hurting everything else stopped. Only took 2 paracetamol a day, so know that won't have changed things. Don't 'feel' pregnant, so got myself into negative thinking for tomorrow! Which is good really as scans are so much easier if arriving negative! Hope & positivity are what causes the pain.

Good luck for tomorrow moneysavingmamma, will keep fingers crossed for you. Does anyone who has had it before remember roughly how long it takes to get the results back after the nuchal scan? I'm an impatient person and just want to steel myself for a potentially long wait...
