Ok I think the list hasn't been done for a while so only about 6 people on it haven't graduated yet and as you'll see they are just about to
If I've knocked you off I do apologise I just cropped the list at about where the right place seemed to be.
Here it as as best as I can get it
AquamarineMonkey (09-07-2014) - 31st December 2013
pixelwife (09-07-2014)
Decembergirl (16-07-2014) - 5th December 2013
claretsgirl (18-07-2014)
MrsMuffin (22-07-2014)
Purcy81 (19-08-2014)
As you can see theres quite a big gap I've added myself at the end so if everyone would like to copy the list and add themselves in the right place by due date we can keep it going0 -

Not 100% sure on mine either but I'll guesstimate!0 -
Dear All,
I managed to have a fantastic sleep - woke up full of beans, got ready to meet my parents etc. Then, about 5 mins before I was about to leave, I got what I reckon is a huge cramp - aching/stabbing pains around my ovaries/tummy and pubic bone. It really took my breath away! I couldn't stand as it hurt more, so I just laid flat on the sofa.
Text my parents, they know I'm pregnant (5 weeks tomorrow!) and said I couldn't come because I was in agony with cramp. My mum then went into - I hope it's not a period etc mode which annoyed me!
Anyway, after about 20-25 min, the cramps have calmed but it does hurt when I cough or sneeze.
Are these sharp cramps normal? I'm all worried now!
Thanks,
Alipops x0 -
Alipops - I had 2-3 really severe cramps like that earlier on (I think I was 6-7 weeks). As long as there's no bleeding, everything should be fine. I kinda hate to say it, but don't listen to your mom! Talking about stuff like that with a pregnant woman will only upset her, which isn't good for her or the baby.
Also, it may be a badly timed uterus stretch coupled with horrid gas pains.I get gas for seemingly no reason now, and there is one spot in particular that still hurts when I get it, and it's where the 'cramps' were earlier on.
I'm sore today from coughing and blowing my nose so much night before last and yesterday, but I will say one thing, Vicks smeared on the bottom of your feet right before bed + socks = awesome idea! I didn't cough but once last night, so I actually slept! :j0 -
Hi Alipops I have had all manner of cramps so far including ones like you describe, for me they come and go they were really bad a couple of days ago and ok since but I'm sure they'll be back.
I did have a momentary worry about things being ectopic but since the pain was on both sides intermittently I counted it out. If your pain is concentrated on one side I'd probably go see your doctor just to rule this out (they may send you for an early scan yay!) I saw my bean yesterday in the right place with a heartbeat so clearly they aren't bothered by my pain!
I don't know about you but I am totally constipated at the moment and I think thats where a lot of the cramps and pains are from, that and trapped wind which can be agonising! I've also had sharp ones, period like ones, dull ones, throbbing ones the whole works!
I think as long as your not bleeding you'll be fine things are growing and changing thats all and I know it's worrying but it seems to be quite common and normal!0 -
lol Mrs T M glad to see I'm not the only one struggling with trapped wind ouch!0
-
Thanks so much Purcy and MrsTM, I really appreciate your replies.
In terms of wind, I was literally full of it last week and over xmas but not so much recently so that maybe a part of the issue. The pains were pretty much all over, I've had a few twinges before but nothing like today - really took my breath away!
Another day chillaxing on the sofa for me I think and going to try and drink plenty of liquid!
Alipops x
PS: it's days like today that make me wonder how i'll cope with work when I go back a week on Monday! Especially, as I don't want to tell anyone yet.0 -
I know what you mean I go back on the 6th of Jan and I'm dreading it as my symptoms seem to be ramping up. My diary for my first day back was full of appointments before I even started my leave so I know I'm not going back to an easy week either.
Luckily my boss knows as he was so great about my 2 mc and I knew I'd need his help to cover for me if the same happened again. He is a 60 year old ex copper so he's not perfect at dealing with these things but he does try!
I'm just worried about 'losing face' in front of my clients as that is something I can't afford to do. Imagine if I started dry heaving or worse in front of them the utter horror!
Luckily the worst time for me seems to be the evening so I'm hoping it stays that way. I work in a team of 6 and with an assistant so I don't want any of them to know yet. I work for a local authority so they are generally great with maternity stuff and several of my friends have had really good treatment from HR etc so I know I'm lucky in that respect0
