Good Morning ladies
sorry been awol just super tired and busy
Huge hugs devildolly so sorry to hear your sad news x
Freshstart I hope everything turns out well for you x
Hurray for good scans glimmer and catloverbex!
Welcome new ladies
AFM just glad to be off work for 2 weeks now as feeling queazy and tired most of the time, feeling positive though as things feel different this time.
I'm going for a scan on Saturday when I'll be nearly 7 weeks so hoping things look well. It was booked in as part of the doctors investigations about my 2 previous mc before I got my BFP and when I asked my doctor at the appointment if I should cancel it he said it was up to me. It wasn't really a tricky decision to make! I called the hospital and they just said to let the sonographer know that things had changed when I went in eeeek.
I also have my midwife appointment booked in for 7th January. It's all a bit scary as I've never gotten this far before, starting to hope I might have a happy ending this time
hugs to all x0 -
Welcome and congratulations alipops if I were you if just register with the new doctor and let them know when you register. You probably won't need to see them and you can just make an appointment with the midwife.
Good luck for your scan and fingers crossed that this is your forever baby purcy sounds promising.
Hope you get to go home early Gelly
AFM bleeding seems to have stopped again. I'm still so stressed though.
I half wish we were having an early scan, but the other half thinking ignorance is bliss. 7 January seems such a long way off and I'm wishing away my Christmas break to get there. I should stop that, this is the first time in years I've had a proper long break from work!

welcome alipops.
I bet that seems ages away doesn't it purcy81.
Disney_Pluto I've had to tell work (I'm 6 weeks) because of my early scans/bleeding and as is typical the rumours are going round work so may have to say something earlier than I wanted to as it might stop the Chinese whispers then. We also told close family in case I need their help.
glimmer and catloverbex congratulations on the scans glad to hear some good news.
Freshstart glad to hear your good news.
Sorry for your loss Devildolly.
wangdoodle I'm in the same boat as you it's on then off still my bleeding been like this for a week, you try not to get stressed about it but it's hard isn't it. I've got six days to wait now till my early scan it's the not not knowing either way what does me.0 -
Happy Christmas eve!
Credit crunch, fingers crossed for you. Enjoy your time off work.
Lilmissmup, I'm sure it will all be fine. Enjoy your three days off. ;-)
Claire16c, I thought that was the case and that's why I haven't done any further tests. For me just a hint of a symptom would be lovely however.
Disney, I also used to work in healthcare so I often had to work right through. Good wishes to you. I haven't told anyone yet, mainly due to my lack of symptoms. If all does turn out to be ok at my scan I think I'll be floored. It will be like getting a positive test all over again.
Alipops, many congratulations. Welcome.
Gelly123, are you on countdown to maternity leave yet? I couldn't wait until I finished work even when it seemed ages off.
Purcy, fingers crossed for a sticky this time. Good luck with your scan.
Wangdoodle, I'm glad the bleeding has stopped, I hope it stays that way. Try and have a relaxing Christmas.
Freshstart, I'm so happy all was well with your scan. What a lovely Christmas present.
Plantpot, I hope all goes well with your scan.
AFM, Mince pies, gingerbread and fresh bread are made, bathrooms are cleaned. I need to ice the cake but DD wants to 'help' so I will have to wait until this evening.
I had a rotten moment yesterday when gifts were sent to the house and I was deliberately left out. Oh well, I suppose it's their problem but it doesn't stop it hurting, especially as I have gone out of my way for this person so many times. I guess now I know where I stand and will no longer be making the effort. I hope this doesn't seem childish but there's only so many times you can have it thrown in your face.
I'm looking forward to roasted chestnuts and some hot winterspice cordial this evening. Can't wait for tomorrow now to watch little faces opening their presents. Fingers crossed for another little face next year.
Merry Christmas and lots of love to all. XXX0 -
Just popping on to say Merry Christmas x0

Hi Ladies,
Can I come and join you please? I had a BFP yesterday, LMP was 17th november, and the digi reckons 3+ weeks, so all sounding about right.
We have been ttc for two years, and have had three (although I think
i had a fourth in the summer) mc, so we are feeling quite nervous and shocked about the news.
I have been having 40 odd day cycles recently with symptoms similar to pg, and I only tested yesterday to rule it out before we go away tonight. I need to get onto the doctors this morning, as I have a treatment plan from the gynae mc specialist for progesterone, aspririn and metronidazole- hoping they can fit me in or leave me out a prescription.
Oh, and OH asked me to marry him last night. Apparently he had asked my father on Christmas Day, and was planning to ask me in New Years eve, but after I announced I am pg, he didn't want to wait in case I thought he had frantically run around searching for a ring because I am pregnant :rotfl:0 -
Congrats Any Name! I'm 4+3 today, so early days too. We had only been trying for 4 months, feeling very fortunate about that!
How is everyone else?
AFM - I've been up since half 6, couldn't sleep - very hot and felt a bit icky, then needed a wee! Just waiting for doctors to open so I can register at my local one (we moved house 3 months ago!) and get an appointment with the doctor to get the wheels in motion!
One thing that's worrying me, is when I go back to work after xmas, i'll be nearly 6 weeks and as my clothes were so fitted, I'm worried colleagues will notice quite obviously. So, I'm tempted to buy some bigger clothes in anticipation. How did you go about this? What's best tack? I don't want to tell them until after 12 weeks or thereabouts.
Alipops x0 -
thanks alipops,
When I was pg before, it was more the bloating that was the issues for me. I did buy a couple of floaty not-maternity tops for work, and carried on with my usual trousers, even if I had to undo the button. I don't know what you wear for work (I wear jeans a lot of the time), but this time of year lots of people buy new clothes in the sales, mso probably no one would notice.
Plus, lots of people are a bit thicker around the middle this soon after Christmas :rotfl:
I have a GP appointment at 9.30- I am surprised and pleased they managed to fit me in, once I explained the urgency of it.0 -
Hi any name so happy to see you here, hope your doctors appointment went well and you have all your meds now.
I'm also super bloated but as you say its easy to blame all that christmas food for it! I'm going to make sure I moan about too much chocolate and needing to go on a diet and that should hopefully see me through. Strange thing is I've actually lost weight as my sweet tooth has totally disappeared.
I have my scan tomorrow and I'm absolutely bricking it, by my LMP I'll be 7 weeks but going by when I ov I should be 6+5 so desperately hoping to see a heartbeat.
Hope everyone had a lovely christmas
Hugs to all x0
