Mrs tm don't worry about someone telling you what position to be in to push, my hospital has tons of posters up about how sitting up in various positions can aid labour, and you only have to watch OBEM to see how many ladies move about just as they want.

The only stories I've read about ladies having more intervention than they wanted & being pushed into epidurals and laying flat on the beds are women from the US on baby & bump. And you're not there anymore so you can have a midwife & not an OB, and gas & air! You'll be fine

Had a bit of spotting last night. I'm thinking I'm letting myself get a bit too worked up about things. Some things are good to over think, pregnancy is not one of them. I'm going to step back a bit from researching and talking about things for a bit to see if that helps out a bit with the stress levels. If you don't hear from me but every few days, feel free to assume everything is ok! I will update everyone if anything changes.

been awake since 4am this morning :eek: so frustrating! it's like once I wake up I'm desperate for a wee then once I get up I'm awake! luckily I'm only working til 1pm today.

time seems to be going very slow, 3 weeks to my scan and a week off work.

I don't know if it's too early to be showing but my work uniform is so tight on me! one of the parents said I had a little bump this morning but it's probably just too many crisps ha...

Hi all. I have been AWOL over the weekend so hello to any newbies and congratulations. I think i am joint top of the list now which is scary! 2 days and counting until the scan. According to my LMP I am 12+3 today so it will be interesting to see if my dates change. I dont know why but i have a feeling i might be put back by a few days.

Hope everyone is well. I am still sicky and absolutely shattered!

Hi all,

I think I slept well last night but feel absolutely exhausted today. Feel nauseous pretty much all the time now but not so bad that I've been sick. I usually eat lunch at my desk but I've been so busy this morning and have had constant interruptions so I've come out and sat in Subway. And I was greedy, I had a footlong rather than a 6 inch sub.

Got an appointment Weds afternoon to have my blood pressure checked with a nurse at the doctors surgery. Not sure why I need to have it checked again or what they'll do if it's still high. I know it can cause problems later in pregnancy but I'll only be 7 weeks on Weds. My booking in appointment isn't until the week after. I have spoken to a midwife on the phone who said I'd probably be refferred to a doctor at the hospital if my blood pressure is still high at booking in but I'm not sure what the point of this weeks check is! My colleagues are going to get suspicious the amount of time I'm spending going to appointments. But at least I can jet say it's blood pressure related until I'm ready to make an announcement.

I've been having silly thoughts the last couple of days, worrying that maybe we've told too many people already and what if all is not well at the 12 week scan. Mind you I think the sore boobs, nausea and constant tiredness can only be good signs!

Hope everyone's week at work isn't too stressful.

Hi Ladies,

Room for one more? I got a tlp on 09/11/13 on a n internet cheapie and then as we were going away (and i wanted to know if i could drink!) I cracked open the digi and got "Pregnant 1 - 2 weeks!". I tested when we got back and there is now a BFP on the internet cheapie!

I'm so happy but a quite nervous now! I never really thought about what would happen after a BFP! I rang the doctors this morning and have an appintment with them next week. I think they will refer me to the midwife?!

So pleased to be joining you on this thread!

Argh, still no scan date from the hospital. It will be 2 weeks on Weds since our referral. I guess that's not too long, but we are away 2 - 11 December on hols so I'm a bit worried that we will get back home and find a letter and have missed the scan!

Hugs for sickness, ladies I was also hogging the bathroom this morning. It really wipes you out, doesn't it. I feel fit for nothing, and still a conclusion to re-write, and the rest _pale_
