I just called the GP surgery at 5 weeks and asked what I needed to do; the receptionist said I could make an appointment with the GP or the midwife and seeing as I wasn't ill I just made the appt with the m/w who I first saw at 6 + 3.She took some basic details, asked about vitamins then booked my booking appointment for 8 + 4 when she came to the house.

My advice would be just call your GP sugery and ask what they advise :)

Neneromanova - I have to eat all the time too. I constantly feel nauseous but an hour after I've eaten, it gets worse and if I don't eat within 10mins, I actually get sick. Trouble is, I don't fancy anything healthy either! Dreading how big I will end up.

Booking app yesterday at home - went well, midwife took half my blood supply! Awaiting scan date now. Today more anxious that I am even normally as this was how far I was when I started bleeding in Nov. fingers crossed - this whole next week will be my own biggest milestone.

Congrats to any new BFPs! Xx

    Hi all,

Glad things are going well with everyone. Lily I know it is hard but try not to do anymore tests. I stopped last time when the fmu ones were hard to see the line but clearblue was saying 2-3. I figured I was just winding myself up.

We can't self refer to midwives either but I have my midwifes mobile so contacted her and then went to GP for the official referrals to my consultant (2 x stillbirths means I get more looking after)

So far I am throwing up daily although I haven't been sick today which is the first time in weeks. I have lost 19lb because of it but have plenty to spare so not too worried. I am throwing up about an hour after eating so still getting fluids into me etc.

Back home after a lovely holiday.

It's my birthday so I should now be TTC42! I'll stick with my name though.

Had a headache/ slight nausea for most of the day. Not great when you are travelling. Not been sick though.

Glad to see the appts are coming through for so many.

My GP doesn't see you, it's straight to midwife.
  • I went to the dr yesterday, exactly 5 hours after the positive test as I wasn't sure if I had mc. My last period (will need to learn your lingo!) was 15/2/13 then started spotting 28/2/13 but as periods have just returned from last pregnancy & I wasn't expecting to be pregnant, never thought much about it, but when it continued for 2 weeks thought I better investigate. Dr said nothing to worry about unless it gets heavier and I just had to arrange an appointment to book in with the midwife. I also got a pack home to complete myself.

I'm also noticing bigger belly too and I'm only 4+1 :( thought it was just cos I was back at work, eating too much rubbish and no more breast feeding! But this is my baby no. 3 too. It's nice to see lots of mums already with children.

Lastly, I'll apologise now, but as much as I'll try to keep up to date here, I'll never manage! x

Feeling fat too at 7 weeks :( Havent told my parents yet - and sure my mum was looking at my stomach earlier! = feeling paranoid. Am making sure that I am wearing loose clothing etc. but I prob look as if I could do with losing some weight which is not a good look. Not wanting to tell work until as late as possible...managed to get to 17 + weeks on previous 2 pregnancies but not sure how long Ill manage this time!! Anyway Im shattered - its 6 mins past my now usual bedtime of 9:30!!
