Lily - how are you feeling today?
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..

Lily I got a 3+ at 5+2 and went on to mc so please don't read the tests as a measure of if everything is ok or not. Big hugs.

    Hi there!
Been reading every day but not posting much as I'm having a huge roller coaster of emotions at the moment! After 2 mcs I was convinced I was miscarrying this time when I had brown spotting at six weeks. Scan showed all fine, baby measuring 4.7mm and a heartbeat. I'm now just approaching 8 weeks and have a follow up scan on wed.

This first big is so stressful and I think my losses have sapped all of the joy and replaced it with worry! I'm hoping with all my night for a positive outcome on wed then I hopefully can relax a bit!

My 12 week scan letter came too. 10th April so only three and a bit weeks away if all goes well!

    Hi Ladies (and gentleman!)

Still reading every day - hugs to all those feeling rough and/or worrying. It's a nightmare this waiting until 12 weeks isn't it? I thought I'd feel better after seeing bean at 8 1/2 weeks but I still just want to get to that magic 12-13 week mark!! (I'm 9+4 today) symptoms are coming and going...

My scan date is on 4th April (toothfairy I see yours is on the same day! We can be scan buddies :D) It's at 8.10 in the morning
which is good really because I won't spend all day getting anxious.....

16 week m/w appointment is on 3rd May.

For those asking about booking in appointments at home; my midwife did take bloods at this appointment; she brought all her vampire paraphanalia with her and took all my bloods there and then (and did the wee test). I appreciate it might be different in different areas. I'm in the Manchester area.

We met up with some friends last night who are a couple at the 20 week mark so we told them the news and they were delighted. It was really nice to have someone to talk to in RL who is only a couple of months ahead of me.

Hope everyone has a fab weekend with no sickness and as few worries as possible. Hugs! xx

PS - Fab to see some familiar faces from the TTC thread! Congratulations!!
First baby due October 2013 :j
  • Hi Everyone.

Eeeek, I just did a test this morning expecting a negative and it's positive  Not really sure how I feel yet as had decided we wouldn't have a no. 3, even though I am really broody :D

I had to tell someone, so thanks!!

    Congratulations!

Lily hope you are feeling better today x

Another here with a 6 month belly at 8 week :( It's so bad. I didn't start showing with DD1 til i was 6 months, then 3 months with DD2, I must have really let my tummy muscles go slack with this one :(

I'm going to be the size of a house by the time I give birth. I just cannot stop eating, and if I do, I feel really ill :( Anyone else feel like this?

Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

btw my belly is ridiculously obvious. So glad its not too long now tell we tell everyone. Last time I kept it hidden til 20 weeks, I used the hair bobble trick on my pants and went up a size in tops due to bigger bust but no maternity clothes til after half way point. Can't believe the difference this time. Also last pregnancy I suffered from nausea much worse- hardly touched me this time. But I've had a cold thrush then another cold then shingles so the immune suppression is causing equal suffering. Said something about being sore to workmates yesterday and one woman responded with "yes i know I had shingles when my DD was 3 months old and I was still breastfeeding. Pain in my breasts was agony and I couldn't take anything stronger than paracetamol cos of the breastfeeding." I told her I'm amazed she didn't go over to bottles at that point. Anyway she doesn't know I'm expecting so I'm also limited as far as meds but do you know when you get the feeling people are so dismissing of your problems because they've been through it and got a medal for bravery in the process. Wouldn't mind but I'm not going on about it and truthfully if I had any other job I'd still be off work- took 3 days off. All that's needed is few nice words but some are too self-involved / high and mighty to care about others. For those who think I'm being oversensitive, I'm not I know what my colleagues are like from years of hearing them criticise others.

I'm still here lurking away lol! I had my 12 week scan last Friday but my little bean was all curled up and they couldn't date me properly! So have to go back on Monday, when hopefully bean will be stretching out a bit!
