Lily I'm not going to give you a slap as I have done the 'watch the digi go up' thing too many times myself. They are a !!!!!! those things, and actually if you have a Google you'll see that loads of women have done the same, and scared themselves half to death when the conception indicator doesn't seem to rise in line with what they are expecting.
I think if you read the packaging, the CI bit isn't particularly reliable. It's the 'pregnant or not pregnant' bit which is 99% accurate or something.
I think after 6 weeks as well, the CI is completely unreliable. I remember reading of someone who tested with one at about 20 weeks pregnant and only got a 2-3! Apparently once the HCG levels get beyond a certain point, it can't read them properly anymore.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
I had a good old look at Dr Google but I'm just so worried something has gone wrong now. Why did I do that test?!? I am so stupid.
I don't feel pregnant at all and altough it's still very early I just don't have much faith. EPU told me to call them if I had any pain as they are still concerned this pregnancy could be ectopic (low numbers and location of pain) but i've got bloody friends arriving any minute so i can't go down even if they want me to:(:(
Waaaa. This is so horrible. I wish I didn't know anything about pregnancyIgnorance is bliss.

welcome to the thread and congratulations amy!
big hugs lily, hope your friends can help take you mind off the worry.0 -
But you've got to think, You are only "2-3 weeks pregnant" Lily...the first 2 weeks in pregnancy you're not pregnant as that's before Ovulation so 'technically' it's right.
But yeah, they are rubbish sometimesWhat's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -

I'm CD 38, 5+2 and 22 days past ovulation so would be 3-4 but obviously the tests only do 3+.
I'm more concerned that my numbers have stopped tripling, infact they may only just have doubled given what they were 3 days ago. They were doubling every 24 hours.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
Lily.. I found the CB digi didn't say 3+ until I was 6 weeks. you ARE 2-3 weeks after conception that is 4+0 to 5+6.. then 3+ at 6 weeks when you are 4 weeks or more past conception.
They are notorious for not being very reliable too. I usually have to be nearly 5 weeks before they even register a +veLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Abis - sorry to hear that you mc last time, I hope you will feel a bit better once you get past that point. I didnt have this at all with my eldest 2 so no idea why I am this time, maybe being 10 years older than I was the last time I am feeling less invicible Im not sure.
Congrats Amy!0 -
Lily - I am 5 +2 today too and the digi will only show 2-3 as w are still under 3 weeks from conception. I am sorry to hear you are so worried, sending you big hugs0

Got the scan date through today - 1st May.
However the letter said about filling in forms 'provided in the pack given to you by your GP'. My OH received nothing from the useless GP so we're going to have to investigate that one! Also said about booking in to see the midwife before 10 weeks but I'm hoping this will be sorted in her diabetes antenatal appointment next week.

Welcome Amy & congratulations :j
Retepetsir - Hope the valuation came back with good news... Yay for the scan date :j
Lilymay - Its so hard isn't it:o I keep pooping myself all the time. I'm so anxious at times. I said this morning I wouldn't test, but then I did of course
Just had to go get another 2 tests, and tried telling myself that these would be my last 2. I think if I a) get past the weekend without bleeding and b) am still anxious after the weekend then I will go and see a doctor and just talk it all over with a professional. With your history you are bound to feel anxious. I keep having cramps on and off too which are terrifying me. I know you get some from ligament stretching and also digestion issues cos I know for sure thats slowed down! But I don't want my tummy to ache and I will freak out big style if I see blood too
I really hope that I can calm down soon and enjoy it a little, but I can't see that happening at the moment, as I think once I am past the weekend I will then panic about the early scan etc
Big huggles for you huni.
NCSmummy - I didn't have any anxiety with my DD 7 years ago either. I also didn't have a single problem. I do think ignorance is bliss. Its only because I have had 2 miscarriages I think that I am so panicked. I am generally an optimistic person - but I think I am so frightened of believing in it all and it going wrong again that I seem to have settled for a state of anxiety and worry instead on the wholeI really would like to enjoy my pregnancy for however long it lasts, but am just struggling with that at the moment....
I am taking DD to see one direction tomorrow - so that will be a massively welcome distraction :j:j She has no idea yet - am going to surprise her in the morning as an early birthday present!!Married my lobster in July 2011
