Cold pizza that I was too full to enjoy last night is definitely an acceptable breakfast. It's completely homemade and DH is wonderful at making them!

Actually kept count of how many times I went to the loo last night. Went to bed at 9:30 pm, got up at 9 am. Went 8 times if you count the one I did immediately upon getting up. How much do you want to bet that they will keep jabbing me and testing me for diabetes, even though every time they thought it was that earlier they've been surprised at my perfect results!

Also, belly is definitely stretching. Feels like someone is poking me right below the belly button. Feels kind of like when your eyelid goes into a spasm. Doesn't hurt, just feels weird. I know it's just stretching and not the baby, it's far too tiny to be poking me yet!

I had cold pizza for breakfast and lunch the other day - it really helped me not to feel sick as it kept me full.

I keep feeling flutterings in my tummy. I know it's too soon to feel the bean move yet - the babycentre article said they becme jumping beans at abut 7 weeks - and it's probably wind but it's a really unique sensation I didn't have before I was pg. OH said 'it won't be baby as bean doesn't have arms or legs yet'. I'm not sure if I'm going to get stretching pains until late on as I never de-stretched frm DS1 :rotfl:

  • Thank you for sharing your "telling" ideas aquamarine monkey, and mrs t re you illness.... Both very reassuring.

This is just a dash in to say thanks.... I slept till 11.30!!! So have no time to get ready and walk the dog... Husband is at memorial service and just left me sleeping... Bless him but I've stuff to do!

I also feel really sick,.. But have no idea if it is MSickness, my IBS or anxiety over meeting all 4 parents in a bit. Husband will have to do the telling, I can't face it. Heavens what would I be like if I wasn't on meds!

  • Good luck telling the parents robots.

I think I'm more relaxed about telling people because this is my 2nd, I was much more cautious with my first. I forgot there is one more person I have told - another close friend who I am being bridesmaid for a couple of months before the bean is due. She was wanting to order the dresses, so I had to tell her as we won't know what size I am until nearer the time - she's being lovely about it and is very understanding. I did say she could sack me from bridesmaids duty if she wanted as not everyone would want a 7 months pregnant bridesmaid but she said as long as I feel up to being bridesmaid then she wants me to be one - but will understand if I'm finding things difficult but the choice is up to me.

Going to pick OHs mum up in a few minutes - I've invited her over for Sunday dinner to tell her - I'm very excited about it. Other than our friends next week at the meal that should be it for the telling until we get to 12 weeks.

    5+4
  • I'm the same with the bridesmaid thing - I'll be being maid of honour for my best friend 6 weeks after iv had the baby! making buying bridesmaid dresses very hard, I have absolutely no idea what size I'll be. probably fat...
  • Just back home after a shopping trip.....OH brought me the Dream Genii pregnancy pillow :D

Is it sad that I'm getting this excited about a pillow?! Woke up this morning and my back was hurting SO bad...so I'm hoping this will help!

I don't think it's sad at all. I desperately want one of these because I have had bad back pain pretty much throughout the whole of my pregnancy so far. I am actually green with envy.

So far we have only told both sets of parents and then I've told my closest friend and DH has told his. Once we have had the first scan tomorrow then we will start telling more people, although it will only be the people we actually see, meet up with and are close to. Plus I like the idea of being able to tell people at the same time as showing them the scan picture. I still don't like the idea of posting it up on Facebook though.

Im having a really chilled out day today. We have been over to the retail park to pick up a microwave as for the last couple of years we haven't really needed one. But as the pregnancy is progressing I am finding eating healthier would be much easier with one. Things like being able to defrost the things from the freezer without needing to take them out the night before would be much better. I'm just not as organised as I was before. Partly because I seem to have less time in the day due to the extra time needed sleeping. This afternoon I'm doing a Sunday dinner for just me and DH. I cannot wait!!!

Can't believe my scan is tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed everything is ok. I'm hoping I don't have to be weighed. I know I have gained weight but just want to stick my head in the sand for a little while longer. Ignorance is bliss after all.

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday xxx

    13 weeks today!!

Hi ladies, well the parents all know now.thanks aquamarine for the good luck wishes. It actually went far better than i could ever have hoped for. Husband had trouble getting a word in edgeways between catching up and choosing food and planning christmas! When he did, he asked what they were all doing in early July... they looked bemused, said it was too far away but were probably free... to which he said "good, keep it free, as with luck you will be grandparents!"

    • His mum squeeled, clapped, jumped out of her seat and rand around the table to hug me! (basically as expected)
    • My mum looked baffled, then smiled, then said "But you're too young!"*, stood up, sat down, stood up, kind of hugged husband then came over to hug me. (far far better than expected!)
    • My dad said nothing. A while later he was grinning. (my dad is stiff upper lipped, so this was quite a GOOD response from him!)
    • His dad said nothing. At all. Nada. He later chatted a bit about holidays etc but nothing at all to do with our news.

So that's better than expected! :j

    * i am 32! So I'm not sure at all how she thinks that's "too young"!! :rotfl:
